If you see any errors in my listings please let me know (NICELY). I will only add suggested information if I or you can verify it is correct. I would rather have missing information than false information listed.
If you would like to have the ownership of a relative's memorial page transferred to you so that you can maintain it yourself, please don't hesitate to ask. Understandably, relatives can do a better job than a stranger can. I think it's wonderful when you take the memorial and add pictures and personal stories to honor your relatives.
I will always transfer memorials within guidelines. Please state your exact relationship in your request.
Outside of guidelines is on a case by case basis. Make your case and state why you'd like a transfer.
Needing links made, locations added, a maiden name added, because the person is in your family tree somewhere, etc. is not a reason for transfer. You should either be closely related (or even a good friend, teacher etc) and/or have extensive changes to make.
I will not add post-1922 obits without the source information and I will remove any living names from obits.
Also, if we share any ancestors please contact me, I would love to share information, pictures, etc.
Remember this site is to provide useful information in order for people to find their ancestors. It's not about getting high numbers of memorials, drama and knit picking.
Thanks for visiting, James

It looks like I'll be busy for a while connecting all family members. Thank you James, I couldn't have done it without the information you provided. This project has been on my mind for a long time, so glad to finally be able to close it.
Have a great day!

Hello again, I deleted one listing for John Bihy Sr. Thanks for the info! But I'm trying to figure out who John Jr's father was. He was born in 1876 but John Sr had died in 1874. Would like to link the parents to John Jr memorial. Any suggestions?

Hello James. Thanks for sending the Edits info on the Bihy family. I made some corrections but cannot figure out who Catherine's husband was. John Bihy yes, but the dates according to the Markers don't match up. If you have any suggestions to line up the hfamily in proper order, please let me know. Thanks, Irene

I ran across a Freeman Chandler (and his wife Elizabeth Steel) out at the Little Shasta Cemetery in Siskiyou County, California. Freeman was born in 1828 in Maine. I wonder if he could be the son of the Freeman Chandler whose mem page number is 41327326.
My great great grandmother was Mercy Chandler Tyler and she and by gr.gr. grandfather, Thomas Stephen Tyler, came out here from Maine with a stop in Illinois for a few years. When I saw Freeman and Elizabeth's headstones, I started looking to see if they were related to Mercy and I ran across your page for Freemen. I notice the last name Fish is one in common with my Mercy, as well.
Just some info I thought you might like to have. Feel free to share info with me if you find anything out!

I will transfer the Days to you. I was literally just walking through the cemetery looking for someone else & thought I would take a few pictures as a pleasant surprise for someone looking on Find A Grave. Guess you are that person. Have a great Day!

Will transfer. BUT,be aware that 25th Virginia Infantry he was in was a Battalion or Local Defense Troops, not to be confused with 25th Virginia Infantry Regiment in the regular service. I have come acrosss several people or stones that say 25th Va. and it is assumed that was the 25th Regimentwhich is not always true. Turpin's stone is a prime example since there is no Battn. or Regt. on unit.

It appears we share a couple of ancestors. :-) James and Clara were my great grandparents, and Malcolm was my grandma Patricia's brother (Margaret Patricia Anne Vernon Fulton Strelow). Her daughter Patricia is my mom. I'm actually just started fumbling around Ancestry.com and here doing a genealogy project, and I was wondering if you have any more photos from that side of the family? I would love to include anything I can about each relative. :-)
Have a great day! :-)
