I started researching my family genealogy in 2002. When I put in the family members I knew of into Family Tree Maker, I could only come up with about 25-30 names. My tree stands at 4,869 (as of the time I am writing this) and constantly growing.|
While my initial venture into genealogy was about curiosity, it has become so much more than that for me now. It has become my passion to preserve the past and the memories of those who have come before us.
My great grandfather, Julius Takacs died in 1943. 60 years later when I tried to find what happened to him, no one living knew. In just 60 years he was already becoming lost to the annals of time. After 7 years of research (and one lucky find...) I found out what happened to him.
I run my own genealogy website now and have decided to add to Find A Grave to help preserve what I can of my family.
My work is dedicated to all those who have come before me.

You are very welcome. No doubt, you know you can click on the photo to enlarge it and read the inscribed names. There were no dates. "Lillie" is inscribed on the back. Also, would this girl (see below)have been in your family? Her monument is unusually near the Crelier monument, if she's not related. The two are apart from the other nearby monuments.

I went back to the cemetery today and walked Section K one more time. If there is a marker in that section for Theresa Nicoulin I certainly cannot find it. There are only about twenty markers in rows 1 and 2 and none of them bare her name or anything close. If you could find out from the cemetery office who is buried on either side of her I could possibly find the area in which she is buried.
Please keep me posted. I would love to be able to get you a photo.

Scott, I'm so glad you like the picture. That grave is in the front left corner of the cemetery and very easy to find if you ever go there. You can use the picture anywhere you want. I enjoy looking for the graves at Hollenback Cemetery and taking the photos.

Glad to have helped. I didnt see Clerinda beside him but it could be an oversight. I am not local to the area anylonger, or would run back over. Maybe a photo request might help in getting hers. I am very sorry, wish I could help further.
Yes , use the photo on the family site. I dont mind at all. thanks for asking. I signed up for your website and with it being the holiday weekend , havent had a chance to go yet.
Have a safe and fun 4th of July
