I am blessed as wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Live in southern California all my life. I am a care giver to my husband who has MS. This web site is outstanding and grateful to those who started it.|
Since college days, I enjoy researching. I began family searching in 1973 when a distant cousin compiled a book about our Pierce family. We have traveled to many different places where our ancestors have lived, taken pictures, visited cemeteries, libraries, court houses, etc., collecting all that we could find and found interesting facts about our ancestors. Have viewed what seems like millions of microfilm records and written many letters. Now with the Internet, it is easier. Have met so many Internet cousins and have exchanged family genealogy with many our family heritage. Most important was finding our Christian heritage passed from one generation to next and we have passed on to our children.
If you can add to the information I have, please feel free to contact me and share. Or can transfer a grave to direct descendant. Email me at email@example.com
All the best,
Mt. View Cemetery, San Be...

Carol, I am inquiring about David Denton Scoggin who had a daughter named Lucretia born about 1838. Do you have any further information on this daughter as I feel she may be my great grandmother born that same year but her common name is Martha Scoggins of Hamilton County, TX. I believe my Martha's father was D.D. Scoggins. Any clues about this family in your records?

I've just discovered that my great, great, great grandparents are interred at the Cherokee/Hanna Cemetery. I'm hoping to make a trip there soon but was wondering if their marker's had ever been found. If not, are you aware of any certain area of the cemetery where you feel they may be interred. I'm planning a trip there to try and find it if it hasn't already been located. I'll be taking some photos to show my father. He's 85 and will not be with me much longer. Would love to do this as a gift for him. thanks... Darren Corley.

I changed the bio for his memorial - please let me know if it looks right now. Also, should the spelling of his last name be left as Pearce, changed to Pierce/Pearce or to Pierce ?

I do most of the correcting & editing for our group, and the guy who created this memorial is deceased now anyway. I'm traveling now but I'll try to get it straightened out this weekend.
