Thanks so much for the info on Gus Georges cemetery and website for his headstone. My grandmother, Lois Farley, was long-time companion to Gus after he divorced his first wife. Gus was a nice man and good to Lois.
Also, thanks for the info on Gus's first wife's headstone. I will go to the library and make copies of these headstones so I can scan them to their online graves.
Wishing you a great day,
Thank you. That is Scout, she is always a big help in the cemeteries.

You sent edits for Edmund, Ethan, S. & Rutherford Davis in Ellington Cem in Iowa, which I am accepting. I am not related; took photos and created the memorials based on a photo request some years back. Would you like them transferred over to you? If so, use the edit tab to ask. Thanks.

My pleasure, Lisa. You also might be interested to know that I added photos of the nearby markers for B. Frank Ream and Ida Mae Ream to their existing memorials.

Lisa, thank you so much for sharing the photo of James Ausburn Coker's headstone. There are so many in that cemetery that do not yet headstones posted and the last burial there was ca 1920. Hoping more headstone photos will get posted while the headstones still exist and in good shape.
If you do find his wife Rebecca E Owen-Coker (or any of the other Coker and Shelton relations in that cemetery), let me know.
I am trying to find a history on that cemetery as the only two SHELTON surnames buried there is James Madison Shelton and his wife Mary Ann Benson-Shelton. I think James is related to my 2nd great grandfather Stephen Shelton born ca 1804 and died/buried in Leon County, Texas.
I assume the property may have been owned by James Madison Shelton or his family since he is the only Shelton male recorded in the SHELTON cemetery. Good chance it was land donated by a Shelton to have named the cemetery Shelton Cemetery.
Stephen Shelton's brother was James (Fox) Shelton who married Joicey Owen who was sister to Rebecca E Owen-Coker.
Therefore, my great interest in this cemetery and the nearby Calhoun Co, MS cemeteries where a number of COKER and SHELTON family members are buried.
I think you so very much for posting James Coker's headstone!

My pleasure. You should know there are two more Stocktons (Gertrude, Lewis)in the same area of the cemetery.
