I love genealogy research and walking through the cemeteries. If you find something I've uploaded and would like it turned over to you, just email me. |
I've finished photographing Riverside Cemetery in Waterbury. Sadly, vandals have been destroying the monuments and stones. If you are looking for someone specific in Riverside Cemetery in Waterbury that is not listed on F.A.G., please message me.
There have many times; too often for coincidence, that I'm having trouble finding a stone. I simply state "I cannot help your family honor you without your help" only to take follow in a direction I'm pulled to find the stone below my feet. I firmly believe the deceased can communicate. Sometimes, it's just best to stop and listen to what they have to tell us!

I've sent a bunch of updates. The source for all of these is:

Hi there--I've been looking for my 4th great-grandparents who I believe are buried in Riverside Cemetery in Waterbury, CT. it is Elias W. Webster (1823-1880?) and Melissa Allen Webster (1826-1901). I was wondering if you might be willing to take a look and see if you can find them. It's possible that their son Charles E. Webster may be there as well. Thanks for any help you can give!
Can you check your edit tab for an edit related to spouses. Thank you.

Thank you so much for taking this photo of my Aunt Thelma Young Quimby's gravestone. I have been taking photos for Find a Grave for several years now and really appreciate it when I add a request. Since I live in Maine and the cemetery is in Connecticut I would never have been able to visit the lot myself.

You stated that it is hard to get the records for Riverside Cemetery, where are they kept? I also noticed there are no section markers, do you have a map of the cemetery? My cousin's family is buried there and I would like to locate them for him? They are not listed in findagrave.com but are mentioned in the Hale Collection. Thank you for any help.
Thank you for all you are doing for this cemetery. I was able to visit a few years ago to hunt down some of my Humphrey ancestors and was able to find a few. I am so glad someone is photographing the stones and documenting the graves.

Hello. You are doing a wonderful thing by providing all this information about those who have gone on before. With reference to the memorial for Alice L. Smith, # 57205349, Please attach a photo that shows the full information. It looks like the siblings of Alice L Smith are listed and I'd like to see the part that has been cut off. Thanks so much for everything you do.
