Bio and Links
Bio Photo I never set foot in a cemetery until recently but now find myself visiting as many ancestors as I can. My deepest roots are in the PA/OH/WV tri-state area. Family names that most catch my eye are Lenker, McCarty, and Stoddard on my father's side; Lower, Whitehill, Dunn, and Rush on my mother's side.

RE: Thanks
Hello. Maybe if all goes well I will find a way to save what is left. I have some things in the works. Just hate seeing that. What a shame.

RE: Hinkle Cemetery
I looked at your two requests and compared them to the 200 photos I have and unfortunately those stones aren't there that I am a where of. When we were there the other year vandals destroyed stones, lack of care, it is over grown, stones proped against trees, we even found parts of stones on a neighbors yard.

Just a disgrace considering the are decendants of a man who signed the declaration of independence.

I have a relative there that owned a lot of land that present Elkins sets on. Plus there is at least one veteran in there.

I would be happy when I can to email you some pics. I will also grab my cemetery book and see if the requests you listed are in there.

Thanks, Rodney

RE: Hinkle Cemetery
Hello. Not to much left of the cemetery unfortunately. I do have photos of what is left. I think I know who owns it but can not confirm it.

RE: George Rush and Anna McCann
Yes, your George's sister Elizabeth Rush and her husband Barnet Rush (they were first cousins) are my 3-great grandparents, so you and I are 4th cousins 5x removed or something like that.
Thank you.

George Rush and Anna McCann
The headstone of their son Andrew Jackson Rush, who died January 15, 1889, and is buried at the same cemetery, says "son of George W. and Ann McAnn Rush", but there is no picture of the stone on FindAGrave. That notation was on the memorial until recently but was removed when Andrew was linked to his parents. George is a very distant (5x removed) cousin of mine.
But you don't have to add the W, it's just a little thing. Thank you!

RE: George Lower's line
I have done as much as I can for the moment with Adam Lower's line. Would you care for a copy of the Lower Tree 2010?? Will need a mailing address.

Lower Family
Hello,

My information on your family is far from complete. Would you care to share your family information?? I have put together a compilation of two books done by my ancestors and have tried to bring it forward into 2010. I have been working from a book published in 1912 and another from 1956. And of course anything I could pick up on the web and family contacts.

Please respond quickly. I have run out of new information / contacts and have started the process toward printing a "Lower Family Book 2010". I really would like to include your families.
