Retired and living in Las Vegas with my daughter & her family is really a great experience. We have lived here since 2006. I have plenty of time to work on my genealogy and find that has provided me proof of so many relatives and ancestors. Since I am working on many family trees, I am able to leave my family and my son-in-law plenty of information where their ancestors & families are buried. I include in the genealogy books that I have (and those I have passed on to others) a section with grave information and photos that I have gathered in person and from findagrave. I never realized how many people have no idea where relatives and loved ones are buried.

Mary Ann Cunningham-Coon
Mary Ann Cunningham-Coon is my first cousin, 4 times removed to me

The Almon C on the 1870 census should be Almon P (as in Peter). He told both aunt Helen and Uncle Floyd his middle name was Peter. His wifes name was Mary Ann Cunningham, sister to Catherine Cunningham who was married to Fayette Coon, Almon's brother. The Almon F Coon in the 1920 census is Almon Peter Coon's grandson. The F. stands for Franklin. Uncle Al was named for both of his grandfathers, Almon Peter Coon and David Franklin Cunningham. Almon Fredrick Coon was the oldest son of Almon Franklin Coon and Margaret Cole. They did not intend there to be a senior and junior, so uncle Al's obit is incorrect, according to my cousin Evelyn. I hope this clears up some of the confusion. Sincerely, Laverne

We are 5th cousins. I know this because I have been communicating with your sister, Marni.

She has been claiming and photographing my requests for Civil War Vets at Oakhill.

I, too lived in Las Vegas and worked at the MGM Grand.

Small world !!

He is also my 3 g-grandfather.

When I submitted the burials in St Matthews, Find A Grave did not have the link feature yet.

Someday maybe I will go back and try to link some more of them.

What is your lineage ?

RE: Mamie Frances Alder Larkins
Mamie Frances Alder was my Grandmothers sister. Daughter of Frances and Thomas Alder. As a child she lived in one of the farmhouses in view of the church. however, I don't know which one. She lived in Baltimore City all her life. She married a Charles (Charlie) Larkins and had 6 children. Charles, Mabel, Frank, Gertrude, William and James ( that I know of) I could not track her grave, however if you go to Mt Carmel Methodist Church Parkton Md on find a grave, there is a marker below her parents marker. On it is named "In Memory of Mamie Larkins and Dory Little" This might get you to her family..
I also know her sister Dory was on welfare in those days and Mamie helped her out when she could

Silas Earl Alder Sr
As I was checking my relatives, I read the write-up from you, on Silas, which mentioned a Thomas Larkin. I had an Aunt Mamie Alder who married a Charles Larkin in 1920. Now she was Silas' niece. Could there be any possible connection? They lived in Baltimore,Md..
