Bio

I enjoy serving as the family genealogist and archivist, inspired by my Great Grandma Delight. Without her years of diligent work to collect information in the late 1800s I would not have been able to trace a large section of our tree, or qualify for DAR. Now I work to do the same for my great grandchildren, who may someday ask, "Who came before me, and what can I learn about myself from them?" I love history, and I love placing my ancestors into historical context, wondering what it was like for them to experience such interesting historical events as traveling across the Atlantic on small ships in the 1600s, The Year Without A Summer in 1819, The Great Depression in 1929, and the many wars this nation has fought, from the French and Indian Wars on. Knowing that my relatives were brave and carried on in the face of great hardships while raising huge families gives me strength. And discovering a great number of ancestors that came to the United States as early as the 1630s, and at least a dozen that aided the War For Independence, gives me great pride in my country.

I hereby give Find a Grave Staff full permission to transfer any of my Memorials to who ever wants them upon my death.
