Thank you for taking and then posting a photo of Melvin VanWinkle's monument. Would you also add the photo to his wife's memorial,(Memorial# 54415468)? Thank you!

Karen:
I just wanted to send you a thank you for the gravestone photo for little Britney. It is so great. She is not related to me, but thought that she deserved a photo that you could see, and you made that happen.
Thank you for all the time that you have taken to help others. It is appreciated.
Best Wishes,
Raymona # 47237415

Hi Karen,
Is it possible to remove Delores as Frank's spouse on your end? She is his grandmother and not his wife.
Thanks!
Cindy

RE: Westlawn Hillcrest
My email address is carolyn765@cox.net

We have been doing this project for several years. We put out 4-6000 flags every year. We start on Wed before Memorial Day and try to be done by Friday noon. We get volunteers from other lodges, home school groups, girl, boy scouts, youth masonic groups, friends, anyone that would like to help. We are always looking for volunteers.

Then on Sunday afternoon after Memorial Day just before the cemetery begins to mow, we go back and pick up the flags. Those flags are then sorted by size and stored properly to be reused. Ones that become too tattered and torn are properly destroyed.

Many who served have no indication of it on their tomb sites. We depend on others to let us know so we can also honor them.

We appreciate any lists you have or any way you can help.

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

I'm sorry, Karen. I probably did try to get you to link August to himself. I was working from wordpad and trying to copy and paste numbers from there, and I probably had one of my occasional brain-freezes along the way :-)

Anyhoo, it looks great, and once again, I do thank you,

Warmest Regards,
Sheila

Hi Karen,

Thank you for making the changes. I don't suppose you recall what info seemed a bit questionable to you, do you?

You see, I am not related to this family, but I do have family buried in the German Cemetery and am trying to enter various data on Find A Grave concerning the burials there as I am able.

In any event, I'll look things over again and see if I spot anything that looks off. I am certainly not beyond making errors, though I try not to.

Thanks for bringing this possibility to my attention, Karen,

Sheila

RE: Glenn Walker
Hi Karen Glen was my brother. When he died he was cremated and I didn't know what they did with his ashes so thank you for the info. Mike
