Bio and Links
Bio Photo This is where my journey begins! I was raised in Emporia,Kansas and have many fond memories of growing up in a samll town! My father and grandmother told me stories of when they were young and as a child my family and I would visit cemeteries every year to pay our repects(many of which I didn't remember or know). My parents believed that it was important and as time passed I looked forward to going every year! As I visited each unknown relative, I often wondered who they really were? What they looked like? What stories they would have told? Now I am looking for all of my relatives and trying to learn about them. Thank you to everyone that helps me along my life's journey & may you be blessed on yours!!

Germann/Ward
Good Morning Teresa,

Apologies for the delay, I didn't have medical issues, which I am glad to hear you are better, I've had computer death for the passed two weeks.

Transferred you the Find A Grave # you asked about. But keep in mind I manage about 15 Ward memorials if you are interested in those. Just give me a shout out who you want.

Thanks for the transfer! I wrote an interesting article for his daughter, Herma and sent it to another graver.... it should be linked this week. (Herman is linked to her father.)

Love your Bio for your memorial. I wish we could hear that said more often.

Thanks! Annie

Teresa,

If you would like a transfer for Charline, Elmer or Roger Ward, I'm not related in anyway, and do not require 3 forms of ID for transfers. If you are related and you do have the same last name of Germann, just send me a request.

Padfield's at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville, IL
Good afternoon,
I searched for the two graves of Albert and Hiram but could not find them yet. I did find a monument for Louisa V. Padfield ("Wife of Hiram")and graves for Charles Padfield, Amelia Padfield, and Eugene Padfield. If you would like, I can email these pictures to you. My email is ryanolds1@gmail.com if you would like to contact me. I did not want to upload these pictures to the Find a Grave requests for Albert and Hiram.

Charline Norene Germann Ward has a new memorial. I linked her to her parents. If you're interested in managing her memorial, let me know with your Find A Grave #.

Elizabeth Germann #135620214
Hi Teresa,

We are probably cousins along with a lot of those who write you! Elizabeth Stoller Germann 1859-1945 was my 1st cousin 3x removed. I was trying to put the pieces together of her offspring.

I notice that the 1900 census says that she had 7 total children and 5 living children. The 5 living in 1900 are named as Lena, Daniel, Martha, Edward, and Ernest.

A family member has in their tree that she married Daniel Germann on 20 Oct 1880 in Unterseen, Bern, Switzerland, which is supported on the 1900 census with # years married at about 19 years. (at most a year off).

Then the 1900, 1910, and 1920 census records consistently say that she arrived in America with her husband in 1884.

So my quandry is how could their daughter Elizabeth Germann #135620214 have died and been buried in America in 1882 when the couple did not arrive in America until 1884?

There are actually 2 deceased children to account for. I'm wondering if the 1882 deceased child (could also be named Elizabeth - Swiss do tend to re-use names) could be the one left/buried in Switzerland and this one buried in Indiana be the first one born here in the states? Could have happened in 1884 on arrival or 1885 as the next child Lena (oldest one living on 1900 census) was not born until 1886.

Also curious as to whether the stone, if there was one, may have had a different year than this memorial shows (the last digit).

Would love to hear what you think about my Germann mystery.

Thanks so much,
Jen

Rosine Meyer
Do you happen to have any more info on Rosine Meyer, d. 08Jun1892? I am researching Frederick Meyer m. Rosine UNK in Belleville, IL abt 1871-1900 or so. Is your Rosine Meyer my missing spouse? Seems unlikely because She's listed in the 1900 census in Belleville. Could she be a daughter? Rosine is listed in 1900 with kids 4/6 living.

Clabaugh
I just noticed that you've created a bit of my families memorials. Are you also related to the Clabaugh's or have you just been creating their memorials? If you are not related if I go through them all and make transfer requests will you transfer them to me? Like the memorial for my gggrandmother these additional memorials are empty of almost all information. For example my great grand aunt Margaret Clabaugh memorial #127206748 and her husband John. Thank you for taking the time to create these memorials and please let me know about your decision regarding the transfer requests.

I sent you an update/change email regarding my gggrandmother a short time ago requesting that her memorial be transfered to me. There is no information on her memorial and I would love to remedy that. Can you left me know if you didn't receive the request email please?

Thanks,
