Genealogy is a passion of mine, and I am able to spend more time on it now that I am retired. I like to collect obituaries and other documents on as many of my relatives as possible and am always willing to share information.|
Find A Grave has been a wonderful place for me to find information on relatives and the opportunity to show that they are remembered by leaving virtual flowers. Several relatives that I did not know previously contacted me via this Web site, and it was so exciting to get their e-mails and share family genealogy.
Some of the surnames I am researching are: Buchanan, Webster, Gribling, Clark, Coons, Ingram, Gleason, and Garrett
I do not knowingly duplicate other burial records on Find A Grave or put incorrect information. Please let me know if you find this has been done so that I can correct it.

There is a stone so feel free to request a photo.

I see that Augustus Sherman was your third great grandfather. He was mine as well! I have always heard that Augustus was a half brother to General Wm.Tecumseh Sherman, but have never been able to find information about it. I have a few newspaper clippings that said they were related. Do you happen to have any such information that would help solve this mystery? My great grandmother was Pearl Clara Van Sickle McKay and my grandmother was Pauline (Peggy) Estella McKay Redman. Thank you for any information you may have and thank you for all of your hard work!

I will do, but I'm not hopeful, as the reading of the tombstones was really thorough 40 years ago. This is a cemetery where 4 generations of my family is buried starting with my great grandfather 1799-1860 and he is listed. Out of curiousity where are you living? I assume it is not Ohio... and you are so welcom to have your relatives, they are where they should be...darlene

Just wanted to let you know, re your photo request, I went out there today and found Jane's headstone and took a photo. However, when I got back home, the photo was altered in my camera, as were several others that I took in the same cemetery. I believe it's a defective or damaged memory card. I will go back out tomorrow and take another photo with a new card and hope to have that photo up tomorrow.

I claimed the request for William Kendall and in my research to locate the headstone I find that there is no record of him being buried at Mountain View Cemetery. Other research does show him passing away in Walla Walla and I looked at the other cemeteries on Find a Grave to see if he was located there but no luck. Not sure were to go from here.

I wanted to let you know the memorial looks great. It's always nice to see pictures of them and know what they look like.
Thanks for sponsoring the memorial.
