Bio Photo I'm better at genealogy than I am at photography, but I'm willing to try. I can't walk an entire cemetery (unless it is small) when the temperature is over 90 degrees, but will go if I have grave location.

RE: Muriel Barnes
My pleasure. Thanks for sharing about Muriel. I loved hearing about Muriel, but so sad.

Thanks again for sharing.

RE: Are you still active?
Yes, I surely will e-mail you direct.
I've been adding proof under each Bio, and I've unlocked Virtual Cmtrys for Dodd, Blanton, and Dodson, where, if I remember correctly, I've added the proof.
I have a letter which mentioned that Christopher Blanton 'went West, and was never heard from again.' Then I found him buried next to Angeline (the beautiful wonders of find-a-grave photos!).
I volunteer in a huge garden providing fresh, organic food for low-income women and must go there now, but I'm so looking forward to exchanging e-mail with you, Donna.

RE: Are you still active?
IN Hendricks Co, Judgement Docket 1, 1832-1839. Ennis, Jr., was about 2.

Joe Dickerson owed money to the Estate of Ennis Dodd [p.205], as did several other people. Jamima Dodd marked as his widow.[p.205]

Some purchasers: Milton Dodd (with John Richardson), John Dodd (with George Culbertson), Milton Dodd (with Aaron Middle), Joseph Robbins, Samuel Surber (with George Culbertson), Booker Dodd (with Aaron Middle) [p.206]

Notes he owed: John P. Dodd, plus others (p.207). Estate declared 'probably insolvent' and ordered to publish in the "Danville Advertiser."

Last sickness and doctor bill mentioned [p.208].

So, Donna, in my tree the proof of descent, from Ennis, is the 2nd marr. and widow's name in the estate.

Do you have that on your Ancestry Tree?

Sorry to bother you, again, but just re-verifying,

RE: Are you still active?
Hello Donna,
Thank you for the invitation to be invited.
I think I need to do a little more sorting-out, first.

The Ennis Dodd, who md Jemima Devenport (Davenport) 1848 IN Hendricks Co, was the father of Angelina Dodd Blanton, proven through her grandmother's Will where 3 generations of my Grt Gm(s) were named. OH...if only all the grandmothers had such Wills!

This Ennis Dodd and William Blanton are the ancestors (on the bottom right of this page):

So, there were 2 John Dodd(s),
they each had a wife, Sarah,
they each had a son, Ennis,
and all of them ended-up in IN Hendricks Co?

It is the father of this one:
Dodd, Milton O.
who is the ancestor, suggested by his given name, Milton,
and his sister,
Dodd, Mary Catherine Stevenson*

Is this your tree, too?
Thank you so much for your patience with me.

RE: Are you still active?
Yes...for the Memorial #42740185, John P. Dodd:
I can't find a reference for a middle name of Poteet for him.
Would you look in your records and send it to me please.
Also, I have his wife's name as Sarah Lowry, md 1801 VA Fauquier Co.
And, he is listed in the census, age 74, b. VA in his son's household, Anderson Dodd, in IN Putnam Co.
Oh, and buried IN Putnam Co, Hartman Cmtry in Greencastle.
Would you tell me which two people I have mixed together, please?
I descend from Ennis #52263223, to Angeline Dodd Blanton #97841365.
Thank you,
