|Farm Girl from Mo.||Please read FAG memorial naming convention.|
Only one name per field is allowed on a memorial. The memorial you created for Edna Frances (Jolley) Serviss #37348195 includes the last names of both her first and second husband as well as her third husband. When there is multiple marriages then the last name on her stone is the only one permissible in the married name field. If you want to include the names of her husbands they can either be linked to their memorials or listed in the bio. area. Please accept the edit I sent to remove the last names of her first two husbands.
|L Eriksson||Re: Paul Thielbar memorial|
While checking on another memorial, I ran across another husband for his second wife Olga Mildred Stam 83058692. Maybe you can clarify this.
In the 1905 MN census she is with her parents in Rice County. MN Marriage records state Olga M. Stam married William K Baldwin on 9 Oct 1905 in Rice Co. In the 1910 census she is in Rice Co. with her parents and 2 children Harold age 3 & Lydia age 6 months (husband not listed).
MN Marriages also state that Olga Mildred Stam married Arthur A Vonrath 145784222 12 Nov 1917. MN Births & deaths state they had two children Edwin B 1918, Florence 1920. However in the 1920 census she is listed as Inga living in Rice Co. with husband William Baldwin & their two children Harold & Lydia. Doesn't make sense - between 1910 & 1917 did she divorce Baldwin & marry Vonrath, have 2 children with him, then divorce him and remarry Baldwin by the 1920 census? Vonrath died in 1925.
Olga's Find A Grave is 83058692. I can't find her in the 1930 census. But in 1940 she is with Thielbar and his stepson Leo Vonrath age 16. If you look at her latest husband's obit, it says he was survived by a step-son Leo Vonrath. I cannot seem to find his birth. Any ideas on all of this?
|Walter||Jolley Book information|
In the Find A Grave record for Robert Daniel Jolley # 42223335 it references a book “The Jolley Family” by Mrs Robert S Jolley. I cannot know if you added that info or if the originator of the memorial did so.
Studying the Jolley family of Lincoln, Mercer, and Boyle Counties Kentucky that this family came from, I believe my GGrandmother was related to the Jolley’s or Blackstone’s. Henry Jolley 1829-1852 was almost certainly the son of John Jolley (1778 VA - ~1855 KY) and Nancy Kittie Blackstone (~1800 - ~1845) as certainly was also Sterling Coulter Jolley (1824-1897). Henry lived with my GGrandmother Malinda ? in 1850 Boyle Co KY. In that case she had no property for Henry to Farm or work on so it is likely she was related to him. I have invested extremely large amounts of time searching for Malinda’s Family of Origin. I don’t know her maiden name. She married first a Mr Gordon and had 2 children. Then she married Micajah Goode and had 6 more children. No record of either marriage exists, but several lawsuits prove that both occurred.
Does the Jolly family book have any references to the Jolley or Blackstone families in Kentucky? I cannot prove which Blackstone family Maria Ann Blackston/Blackstone came from, although I think I know.
I would greatly appreciate some way to check if Jolley family stories or legend have information on these early Jolley and Blackstone families. Thanks in advance.
