Bio and Links
I am Norma Jean (Duty) Barr, the daughter of Jess Goodlow and Quessie Augusta (Roberts) Duty and married to Phillip Russell Barr, son of Lawrence Clester and Theodora Pearl (Sisco) Barr.

I have found this site to be a goldmine of info and for those of my ancestors and family that were listed here without tombstone pics, my husband and I have made a few trips to photograph as many as possible. For others that were not yet listed, I have added them with as much info as I have available. Thanks for everyone's work on this site and project. Very helpful.

Looking for some help.
Long story short my mother Joyce Ann Stepp passed away this past week we were trying to fill out her death certificate and due to her choice in lifestyle we didn't have the proper information. I done some digging and found that Naomi f. Barr Stepp was my mother's mother's. Leon stepp, Naomi's husband passed away as well this past Thursday. My siblings and I are trying to figure out where our mother was born. If you happen to have any information would you please let me know.

RE: Press Roberts
Thanks for letting me know. Obviously I guessed wrong concerning the location near their daughter's grave. I will remove the misleading photo and caption from Sophia's memorial. You may want to put in a request for Sophia's grave photo, to have a correct one there.

RE: Press & Sophia Roberts tombstone
You are so welcome. My husband and myself are full time RVers and love to visit cemeteries, so I always check Find A Grave to see if anyone would like photos of stones in the area we are staying. I was looking for four markers today and only found one, the one for your aunt and uncle.

RE: Press Roberts
My father-in-law (Find A Grave Memorial# 19109567) was from Sapulpa, quite near Bixby. I have been to that area one time, trying to track down relatives, with mixed success. His paternal grandmother and a couple of siblings who died in infancy are said to be buried in Round Mountain cemetery at Gore, but I did not find any gravestones for them. We were not in the area long enough to try to contact the cemetery managers to inquire further.

RE: Press Roberts
You are welcome. I was able to find a much longer obit for Sophia. She actually died in Lane County, probably in one of the hospitals in Eugene or Springfield. I also claimed the photo request for Press, but I haven't had an opportunity to get to the cemetery yet.

I did not know Press, but I do know some of the relatives in this area. I know some of the Reaghs, including Stella who was the lone survivor of the horrific car/train wreck which took the life of Mary (Roberts) Reagh. I also know Leon Willis, the minister who conducted the services for Sophia.

Meant to say that the listing of Hamilton Bartholmew McClanahan was on Sarah Catherine Woods McClanahan's page. Tina

Hamilton B. McClanahan
Hi: I was wondering about the listing of Hamilton B. McClanahan's middle name.
I shows in the information near the bottom "Bartholmew" as his middle name. Can you tell me where that informtion came from. He is my GGG Grandfather. Any help would be appreciated. Tina
