|Pat Carter||Hello Keith!|
How are you? Have four years been long enough? Pat
|Jean Bower||Mabel A. Walden - Martin Hill Cem, Prentiss co, MS|
I saw your message below to Betty Turvaville (10/2009) and thought that MABEL WILLIAMS at Martin Hill might be who you were looking for.
In the Prentiss County Cemeteries book, she's listed as Mabel Annice Williams, born 1/21/1916 - died 3/21/1995. There are several Waldens buried there. If you know if this is the correct one, I'll add Walden as her maiden name.
Thanks, Jean Bower
"My name is Keith Thompson and am doing research on one of my relatives: Mabel A. Walden. I was informed from another relative that she was buried at Martin Hill Cemetery, Prentiss Mississippi. She was born I believe in 1916 and died 4/12/2001, both in Booneville, Mississippi. I do not see a listing of her at this site and was hoping that you might provide an official record if she indeed is buried here. I am unclear if she ever married so the last name might be different. I know this is a long shot but thought it worth asking".

There is a Walden cemetery in Prentiss County. Have you checked there?

Keith, you are very welcome. You live in a beautiful area. Visited there last year and the fall foliage was magnificent! Again, thanks for your kind reply. Jim

Hey Best Buddy!!!!!!
Okay after checking at the Homer clerk of court on the above yesterday who according to the census I thought was married to a Fred W. Simpson (Fred married Nannie (Nancy)Rich)----well she ain't----she married a J.(John) H. Simpson 29 June 1921 Claiborne Parish, La. (I will get you and only you a copy of the marriage license later.) And get this--- he married an Mira Tinsley on 16 Feb 1926---so somewhere between 1921 and 1926---something happen to the marriage. No divorce recorded in Claiborne Parish, La. I check his marriage to Mira and he listed being married 3x
1st----Aldora Williams (decd)
2nd----Sarah Naler (div)
3rd----Mrs. Nancy Caroline Britt (Brooke)
Well what can I say why the *(Brooke) name was there. I am not gonna make another boo-boo. It was all the children listed in the census and Pauline saying there were no other children after she married Britt the reason that made me check it further. The marriage record of Simpson and Tinsley also stated he was a cemetery keeper. The End. Take care my favorite friend.

I removed the picture. I really thought that the picture was of "Ped". Could you tell me the name of the person in this picture? Would you please contact me at email@example.com I have a couple other pictures that you may be able to identify for me.
Sorry for the error and thanks for pointing it out to me.

Keith, I have transferred ownership of this memorial to you as of this morning. Good luck. I am always pleased to transfer any of the memorials I created over to family members.

Not sure when I'll be getting back over that way, (I'm in Dallas) but I hope to very soon. I enjoy going over there and driving around in that country visting the old cemeteries. If I do, I'll make a note to look and will get a pic of any Thompsons I see.
By the way, are there any other cemeteries around there that you have kinfolk in that you know of? I like to hit several cemeteries while I'm out there. I'm still uploading photos from my last trip out there. Got a bunch from Pleasant Hill near Plain Dealing also, as well as several from Rocky Mount and many from some neighboring Webster parish cemeteries.
