You placed a photo on the above memorial of a monument dedicated to individuals who had been buried in cemeteries now under Lake Murray.
I have been tasked to locate his wife, Christine Fulmer's grave, alleged to be at St Peters Church Cemetery, Lexington, SC. Since she deceased prior to the establishment of St Peters and the cemetery, I would think she is the wife mentioned on the monument. I could not locate this monument at St. Peters and the church office has no knowledge of it. Can you provide the location of this monument?

RE: John & Jane Young Gillon
Hi cuz! I can send you an invite to view my family tree on Ancestry. You don't have to have a subscription to view it. Do you know of Ron Head? He's also descended through Sarah and Matthew. I got some of my information from him. I have a copy of John and Jane Gillon's wills, and I think I have those posted also. There's a somewhat humorous mention of Sarah and Matthew in John's will. Matthew apparently did something to make John mad so he didn't leave Sarah much. I only recenly got a computer at home so I'm playing "catch up" on some of the things I have posted. I got John's/Jane's Rev. War pension file on, and I think I've got that on there plus the transcript I made of it--or the transcript possibly at the least. I need to check. Must run for now. I'll send the Ancestry invite shortly.

RE: John & Jane Young Gillon
Hi there Louis! Good to "meet" you. Are you on I have some info posted on John Gillon there. Do you know which of his children you descend from? Our line is from Hugh who came to MS in the 1840s. I have just turned in paperwork to join my local DAR chapter on John Gillon's record. Have been to his and Jane's gravesite in Mooresville, Iredell County (just over Cabarrus Co. line), North Carolina. Very nice folks at the church there where they're buried. They have a small family history "museum" of past church members/families also. Is there anything in particular that you'd like to know or share? I wish I had more than I do, but I'm always glad to share what I can. Melissa
