RE: J. McCombe F-A-G #3654696
Do you want me to delete the obituary? I just wanted you to see it. Those old newspapers and cemetery records are certainly not always correct. I found several mistakes just today in my research.

I have posted the headstone picture and also the obit. If you don't want the obit left on there, I'll gladly take it off. I believe he is in Block 537. I can't find him listed in the cemetery records as McCombe. I determined the location by a headstone near his. However, there is a James McConnell listed with James McCombe's death date near the headstone by his. I believe that entry in the records was supposed to be his. I have found that those old records are not complete nor are they very accurate.

J. McCombe F-A-G #36546963
Sharon,

I think I may have found a gravesite that could be your James McCombe but not sure. The James McCombe #36546963 has what appears to be a family headstone and lists James McCombe who died in 1907. The gravesite I found has J. McCombe on one line and Crosley underneath. It is in a section of the cemetery with several other 1907 burials. I notice that there is a Crosley surname in James McCombe's list of family members (a married daughter). The stone I found is just a slab of cement with the names etched on it, which was what a lot of burials had back then. I would be glad to post it or send you a picture if you like. I hesitate to post if I don't know for sure if it's correct.

I also found a short obituary for James McCombe which states he leaves a wife & 4 children in Butte, and his Mother, Father, a brother, and 5 sisters in Ireland.

This might be a coincidence but thought I should let you know what I found.
