I am a descendant of the Daniel Taylor Dean family, Millard Irons family, Solomon Maggert family and Johann Zerfass family. My grandmother, Hazel Surface McPhail and my mother, Lorraine McPhail Dean, decorated graves each year and I went with them, thus my fascination with cemeteries.|
My husband's family is John Lafayette LeMaster family, Wm. Jackson Hughes family, Daniel Wainwright family, John H. Boston family, Coleman Pryor Eaton family.
We live in Topeka, Ks. but grew up in Carl Junction, Jasper Co. MO.
I do not know most of the memorials I have built..but I always leave a flower because I believe memorials deserve one. I try to remember veterans, infants, unknowns and old, old graves.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO USE/COPY MY PHOTOS.
If you would like a family member transferred, please use the EDIT and I will transfer most, except for my relatives.
Those we love remain with us,
for love itself lives on.
Cherished memories never fade, because
one loved is gone.
Those we love can never be, more than a
for as long as there's a memory,
they live on in our heart.
BEYOND LIFE'S GATEWAY
There's an open gate
at the end of the road
each must go alone,
in a light we cannot see,
Our Father claims His own.

Thanks for the Stickley transfers. If you have a moment, please look at Bernice's. There's a cute story on her page about how she met her husband.
Hello - I am just wondering if you might be related to Joseph Bigbear born 1916 Memorial # 90190207? I am writing a book that involves Joseph Bigbear who died in 1889 in Nebraska. I am wondering if these 2 men are connected at all. Thanks. Andrew`

Janice - I have made an online edit for the date of death for my great-great aunt Annie Whirlow Mottinger. In support of that request, I wanted you to know how I found it: Kansas Historical Society, Topeka State Hospital Cemetery, made a search for Annie Mottinger but it was erroneously listed "Mattinger" which is close enough. Heer Register #14140 is on that site and it gave the dates of her death and her burial date almost 10 days later. There is no grave marker but there is a row and grave number given on that site. I thought this might help in making her site more complete. Sad, she was so alone. Ann Harris Humble

I've updated the page for Larry Cave in Mount Hope, linked him to his father, and have sent the page to Mount Hope for their office records.
I couldn't remember if I actually sent a request for transfer for Samuel Jolly, so I sent another one, if I did. It's been that kind of a week!
|Cheryl White||Samuel Jolly|
Janice, I've sent the transfer request for Samuel.
Sorry to hear about your arthritis. Mine was bothering my hands this winter, but it has eased up with this strange warm pre-spring weather. And, I plan to walk Lincoln section this spring and photograph it. Are there any other sections you started and didn't finish?
|Cheryl White||Mildred Virginia Reynolds Jolly|
Janice, I have updated the page for Mildred in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka, and have linked her to her parents and husband. I've also sent a copy of her updated page to the cemetery for their office files.
I'll sent a separate request for transfer for her husband, Samuel, as I now have a death date for him.
Thanks so much for your help.
BTW, Mildred was quite an accomplished lady!
