Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
Greetings, Janice!

Although I'm familiar with and have photographed Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, among other burial grounds in NJ,
I'm actually a Manhattanite and haven't been to this cemetery in many years. You may try posting photo-requests, as interest in historic cemeteries continues to grow, and many art photographers are joining Findagrave in addition to genealogists. It just may take awhile before your requests are fulfilled, especially since the weather is still cold. Good luck with your search.

Best regards,

RE: Alice Earl
No. I would not still have the OBIT. I was reading thru the papers to find my family and posted others.

RE: Alice Earl
I created the memorial for Alice from an OBIT. I was no the person who created the memorial for James so I cannot say where that information came from. I am not related to either of them.

RE: Alice Earl
Without a memorial # or a message sent thru the EDit icon on the memorial I cannot determine which Alice you are referring to.

RE: John Duff Murdoch and Jane McCready
Please click on the photos to enlarge them and reveal captions. This is a public lot--not a family lot. The 2 Murdoch graves are next to each other, which is very rare in a public lot. One of the stones is hopelessly eroded.

If you would like me to transfer Howard Wise's wife Jennie Cavanaugh's memorial to you, please request the transfer. If I transfer it to you, you can add Catharine as her middle name. I have found no record of that.

By the way, I did find a nice biographical sketch of Howard Y. Wise, whom I believe to be Howard D.'s father in Biographical Annals of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Containing ..., Volume 1
edited by Ellwood Roberts. If you Google "Howard D. Wise & Jennie Cavanaugh," a link will come up.

When I walked this cemetery in 1991 there was a marker, it's in cemetery on end closest to river, west end.

Information from cemetery records, I have copy here. they are just notes written on a tablet in chronological order nothing fancy. Cemetery in very bad condition for many years, for one person to come establish home then send for mate was very common. People came here for work and many had no relatives here before they arrived, area was very poor (but when they talked about old times it was always a 'fun' remembrance)
