I have been immersed in genealogical research for over 15 years now. For the past 5-6 years, I've been the online contact for the Bend Genealogical Society, Bend, Oregon and enjoyed finding local data, obits, graves etc. I also interview veterans of all wars for the Library of Congress' Vet History Project, and have interviewed more than 170 vets. Right now I'm concentrating on completing the list of WWII and Korean war vets that live locally. If you know a veteran in the Deschutes County area of Oregon, contact me at: email@example.com. I'll put him or her in the queue!|

I dono't know who you are talking about. could you give me his memorial#?
|Debbie Smith||Wm Scott Bounds|
I received your corrections on Wm Bounds. Is his middle name really Scotland and not Scott that's listed on his tombstone?
|Dottie Gilder||joseph Emanuel|
Hi You left me a note on his dates and I cannot find him. Would you mind sending his memorial number or better yet go to the memorial and use the EDIT tab
|KBounds||RE: CARL L. BOWNDS/BOUNDS|
The reason I sometimes give credit is to cover 'myself'. I've had 'too many' instances where people send me edits, I don't look closley at them and it turns out to be not well researched and not accurate. Wrong middle or maiden names, links to spouses or siblings that are not even possible because of their ages and dates and I can't tell you how many other mistakes people make. Then later, some other researcher or 'relative' sees the memorial and contacts me wanting to know WHERE my sources are for making those edits or WHY I entered information that was inaccurate. And because of the time that may have lapsed, I can't remember who sent the edits and have no answer for them. Too many people on findagrave get all excited and in a big hurry in their research and start throwing around edits and info all over the place based on assumptions or unconfirmed research not based on any official documentation other than heresay. That's an unwise thing to do in my experience! So, now I either ask for sources or I reference the person in the bio so that if any 'irate' researchers and relatives see wrong info, they know who to go fuss at.

Thanks. The URL link to the birth record for Carla Eugenia Bownds is sufficient since it is the 'only' record in that search list that actually lists both parents' full names as well as it pairs Carl with his wife as confirmation that it is the same two people.
I'll make the edits and mention the source.

I don't need a screen shot. Just provide me a URL address for to that LDS page you referred to. You can just go to the page you saw, copy and paste the URL address. I'll check it out. Once I confirm, I'll make the edit and reference your source.

|L.B. Davis||RE: HAZEL DOROTHY BOUNDS|
When I sent it, it had Hazel Dorothy Bounds only.
It has been so long since I did anything about Find A Grave, I don't know how to change it.
You are welcome to take charge of this Grave.

I sent you her full obit this morning.

|KBounds||RE: EFFIE LEE BAILEY|
Hi again, Ok, I figured out who you are talking about. Effie Lee (Braley) Bounds.
Yes, I am positive her maiden name was Braley! My father knew her family.
I also personally had a phone conversation with Effie's daughter, Ruby Jewell Thompson in 1993 at which time she stated to me her parents were George Monroe Bounds and Effie Lee Braley. (She spelled the name out, Braley, for me as well.)
In addition, here are some other references:
1900 & 1910 censuses, Webster Louisiana
Listed as Effie L Braley, born Nov 1894 in the 1900 census. She is the daughter of Benjamin F. and Lena Braley (maiden name, Lena J. Oakley)
Also, on the death record of her father Benjamin Franklin Braley 1858-1923 in Springhill, LA. His last name spelled "Braley".
He is also listed as Benjamon Braley in the 1880 census in Webster, Louisiana.
Also, several of Effie's siblings (who are also listed in the 1900 and 1910 census with her) are buried in Springhill. Children of Benjamin Franklin Braley).
Additionally, a reference from a genealogy book titled "The Bounds Bunch" by Tom E.and Alma Dean Cason published in 1996 names her as Effie Braley, married to George M. Bounds. (Tom E. Cason, Jr. was the son of Nettie Lou Bounds Cason).
Hope that helps!

Thank you for your input. I have added it to the bio of George.
The ebook Irish Pedigrees, or The Origin and Stem of The Irish Nation. 5th Ed., Vol II, John O'Hart, London: James Duffy and Co., Limited, Dublin: Burns & Oates (Ltd.), Glasgow: Hugh Margey, New York: Benziger Brothers: 1892. was a great help and got me to William of Ingleton.
Yorkshire Parish records gave me records of marriages, deaths and births.
Good to hear from you. We communicated a lot in the early 2000's when I was writing my book on my family's ancestors, etc. You were a great help with it.
