Charles and Calista Church of Avery, IA
I am writing in hopes of finding out more about these people. I think my great grandmother, Emma Brown (1865-1940) may have lived with them for a few years as a small child, in the late 1860s. Emma Brown's mother, Harriet Brewer Brown Wright (1836-1909), was a relation to the Nathan Church family of Massena, NY.
Do you have any more information about Charles and Calista Church that you could share with me?

Thank You.

Trails buried in Camp Creek Cemetery
I am descended from the Trails who migrated from Maryland in the 1700s, through Kentucky in the early 1800s, and then out onto the prairies of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. John W(esley) Trail in the Camp Creek Cemetery is my fourth cousin, twice removed, and John S(olomon) Trail is my third cousin, three times removed. I would be extremely interested in getting as much info as I can on the Trail family in Otoe and/or other surrounding counties. If someone there in Otoe (or surrounding areas) is interested in getting info from me, I would be most happy to oblige. I have extensive info on the Trails going all the way back into Scotland. Thanks for your help! Kay Coram (
