THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN
Today we walked where others walked On a lonely, windswept hill; Today we talked where other cried For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched By graves of tiny babies; Snatched from the arms of loving kin, In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay In the last sleep of their time; Lying under the trees and clouds - Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot; Who lies beneath this hollowed ground? Was it a babe, child, young or old? No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay. We had been here once before On a day we'd all like to forget, But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin The graves of ancestors past; To be preserved for generations hence, A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend, For stones sometimes crumble to dust And generations of folks yet to come Will be grateful for your trust.

Thank you very much for the obituary for Avery. I did not have it in my files. I am adding it to the memorial with credit to you. Again, thank you for the obit and all the great work you have done for the Brothertown people and descendants.
(a direct descendant of Randall Abner.)

You recorded the grave of the above, but naturally tracing his wife has raised issues. Do your notes indicate a wife there or nearby?
Thanks so very much for all that you do and have done,
St. Louis, Mo

Thanks for the updates. You have Owińska as her birth location. I know she was married nearby in Knyszyn in 1884 to Tomas. How did you find her birth location? Thanks.

Could you add the photo you took for Donald W Halweg, memorial #29849894 to Muriel A Halweg, memorial #67619473?

Can you correct the following? I have been working on this part of the family a little as it was my husband's grandfather's second wife, so not his blood relative.
It should be Cieslik, not Czesnik.
I have linked to Antoni Nowaczyk
Can you add a headstone picture? I was there recently but did not have grass clippers and something to clean off the marker. If not, I can ask the others who also work St. Adalbert's as I live in AZ. Lot 29, Block E, Section 6 (near: 42.002688, -87.797974). If you can get Tomas Cieslik at the same time that would be nice also (that was her first husband). The current findagrave photo is of the monument, he also has a headstone.
Can you link Tomas (115389708) to Frances as well?
If you want me to do the changes, feel free to give me ownership.

You are most welcome Caroline! I know I appreciate it when others take pictures for me, too, so, as "they" say "Pass it forward". If you find that George is buried at another cemetery, let me know..

Hi Caroline, I was wondering if you knew what happen to his first Wife Lucinda Brushel. I have that she died in 1842 and they married in 1832 in N.Y. which makes sense since the kids were born before 1840. and most likely I took the information from the Welch/Eggnick book which my mother has. Any help you can give me would be appreciate.
