|I am a life long resident of Forsyth,Monroe County,Georgia ,except for time spent away to become more "hily edukated". I don't think it worked ,but I can and will consider it an opportunity and a privilege to take photos and maybe do some minor research in Monroe County and even the surrounding counties.God willing and gas prices don't go to $4-$5 a gallon !! I'll try to help .|

Thanks SO much for the Raines headstone photograph! It's volunteers like you that make this world a nicer place!
BTW: My paternal ancestors came from your area....I descend from the Benjamin Franklin Davis line.

Thanks so much for the photo.
That sounds vaguely like me, I miss you too. I'd love to get together with you sometime, I don't guess we'll have another reunion for a couple more years. I have been planning to come down to Jackson when the weather cools off a little more, I need to take some more photos in the Watkins Family cemetery. Maybe we could meet one Saturday and eat some barbecue and take some pictures. The cemetery is on my cousin Thomas Wiley Wright's land on Watkins Pool & Park Rd., behind Fresh Air BBQ. Let me know if you have a free Saturday in mid-October or early Nov.
I grab the newspaper every morning and check the obituaries to make sure my name's not there, I guess I just prefer to visit cemeteries while I still have the ability to leave when I'm ready.

I saw your posting on Donnie Daniels site about knowing the family of Ras Kitchens. I am very much interested in contacting someone from that family. I believe he was the brother of my great grandfather Samuel Knox Kitchens from Banks/Jackson Counties. If you have contact with someone from this family, would you please forward my email address to them or ask if you can provide their's to me? Thanks so much.

You didn't have to do that..but I did go ahead and post the double headstone for the Ras Kitchen memorial. I live in Monroe County am married to a Monroe County girl. She grew up in Monroe County and she knows you and your wife. She told me that you have had a serious illness..I hope you are doing much better. If I can ever be of help to you..don't hesitate to call on me!

Thanks for the nice reply.
When in Georgia (I kind of have "dual citizenship" in TN and GA these days) I'm about 20 miles from Forsyth.
Let me know whether you'd be interested in teaming up for some cemetery photography? I've gotten to be friends with another volunteer in our area and we've done some photography together, but we can't meet up as often as we'd like to.
Best wishes. I look forward to the further information you mentioned.
