I am a family historian for maternal names:Land, LeGrand, Pickett, Robards, Terry, Peebles, Hart, Wilson, and Gregory; for paternal names:Parks, Johnson, Atkinson, Pickens, Henry, Hutchinson, Bland, Randolph, Isham and Taliaferro. I do not visit cemeteries often, so this site is very helpful.

Thomas Bird Parks
i took photo of Thomas Bird Parks today in the Cokes Cemetery. Marker is modern military marker, middle name spelling probably incorrect.
Wondering if this Thomas Parks is father to Thomas Byrd Parks II? Didn't see that marker during visit. am curious.

Pickens Parks
I have an "unknown" connection to the Parks and Pickens families and am looking for clues. My great grandfather was Samuel Pickens Harris and his lineage has Parks and Pickens used as given names as were Bailey, Marshall. Bailey Harris 1809 Pendleton SC and his brother Daniel Marshall H. 1807 SC migrated through Chattooga Co and Troup Co on their way to Coosa Co. Alabama. If you see any connections I can use as clues, I would love to have them. (I have learned from the dna website that their father was one of the Johns of Pickens Co, SC and their mother was Francis maybe aka Fannie.)
Thank you.
