Bio and Links
I have been conducting family history research since 2003. Genealogy is a hobby that I wish to, someday, turn into a career. My family lines include;

(maternal) COOK, COX, VOORHEES, ALBERTI, CRONKITE, HOOSE, ELDRED, FOLEY, etc.

(paternal) SERRAO, PUFFER, BRAY, GRIFFIN, TRACY, WALSWORTH, and more.

Most of my cemetery research is from Otsego, Delaware, Chenango, and Greene Counties in New York State as that is where the majority of my ancestors are from.

If you have any questions about my postings or my family line, please don't hesitate to ask!

Thought you might like to know there are photos on Seneca and Euretta Bowe. You can link Minerva to her mother if you like. Best wishes

Michigan Cronks
Hello, Jessica

Thank you for your reply. I have a set of 3X-Gr-Grandparents, JACOB CRONK (1792-1869) who married his cousin, ELIZABETH "BETSEY" CRONK (1793-1880). They came to Michigan in the 1850's with their children and grandchildren.

JACOB CRONK, #53750532, is the son of STEPHEN CRONK & CATY FREEMAN. In the work you referenced, Stephen is a brother of PHEBE and ANNA...all children of JACOB KRANCKHEIT and ANNA FERGUSON.

ELIZABETH "BETSEY" CRONK, #53750695, is the daughter of JACOB CRONKHEIT and ELIZABETH SALES...Jacob being a son of HENDRICK CRONKHEIT and MARIA DeLANGE.

Of their three children, my 2X-Gr-Grandfather is LEVI CRONK (1816-1902), #53750147, who married LUCY CURTIS (1828-1900).

They, in turn, had a bunch of sons, including my Gr-Grandfather, WILLIAM CRONK (1868-1933), #20501094, who married ELLA LEWIS (1868-1937).

William and Ella Cronk had five children, their youngest being my grandfather, HOWARD CRONK (1903-1964), #53672654, who married BEULAH FRANCES MOSS (1903-1989).

Howard and Beulah Cronk had three children, their only son being my father, MAX WILLIAM CRONK (1926-____). Max married VIRGINIA ELIZABETH PETTIT (1925-____) in 1953 and they had three children...one being myself!

My genealogy mission is trying to track down the descendants of STEPHEN & CATY (FREEMAN) CRONKHITE and of JACOB & ELIZABETH (SALES)CRONKHEIT. I'm particularly interested in seeing when the various branches of our family changed/shortened their surname. And, in Michigan, I'm interested in sorting out the Cronk-Cronkite-Cronkhite families that migrated from New York State versus those who are descendants of United Empire Loyalists that returned to the States. It can get rather convoluted.

Anyway, that's my story. Glad to hear from you, cousin!

Aury & Phoebe Cronkhite
Hello! I do have a question for you, since it would appear you might be descended from John A. & Anna (Potter) Cronkhite. WHERE are Aury Cronkhite, and his wife, Phoebe, buried? I have stood before his wife, Anna's grave in West Lebanon, Warren Co., IN. You come from an interesting lineage! I, too, come from a line that was double-Cronked [or Cronkhited].

Best Regards,
