Greetings My Friend,|
If you are exploring this website it likely means that you have an interest in your heritage and the lives of your ancestors.
I have a profound respect and appreciation for those who have gone before us and sacrificed much in their efforts to live a good life, leaving a legacy of faith and heritage which we must never forget.
I invite you to share family information. Corrections are certainly welcome. Sources are appreciated. If you have a closer relationship to one of my postings please contact me about a transfer of that memorial.
Family history is my passion, as well as my profession. Information from past research projects and a small obituary collection has been posted for the benefit of descendants seeking more information on their kindred.
Best wishes in your journey.
--Laurie West Hillier

Thank you for your submission.
I had used the burial card index to obtain the plot number. When searching for a specific plot, it's useful to determine where that plot is, (if it's unmarked); to photograph gravestones in the vacinity and locate them on the map by using plot numbers from the burial card index. The plot numbering system at Higher Cemetery is over-complex, and can be said to be not at all logical.
I have made a few additions & changes on this memorials entry, (the age at death was incorrect on the memorial and card index record)

Thank you so much for taking time to send valuable information for their memorials. I appreciate it greatly and so will future generations. It is people like you who make Find A Grave a success. Thanks again for sharing.
|Melanie Johnson||Nellie Serena Hardy West duplicate|
Thank you Laurie for noticing the duplication. I'll see if grave hunter will transfer this memorial to me so I can combine them. Is there a better way to resolve this? Thanks again, Melanie

Your welcome, I messaged the person who maintains the page, it wouldn't let me upload the front and back and I didn't know until I uploaded the back first. But if you go to her husbands, James Bradshaw he has the front of the memorial, until I hear back I can't upload both, it tells me the memorial page has reached it's maximum pictures.

Thank you so much for adding the photos of Winifred Parkinson Jennens. A picture is worth a thousand words and I want to thank you a thousand times for adding them. They are such wonderful quality also. Thanks again, Rhonda

Laurie, Where are you getting the info to build memorials for people in Pine Forest Cemetery in Wilmington, NC? You have also been able to add historical info also. There are more than the 1,500 gaves in the Pine Forest Cemetery that have been entered. Finding the graves is very hard and where you are getting the memorial information may help me to find the markers better. Your help is appreciated. Shelby

Sorry for the very late reply on your requests. Due to lack of time and so many requests it is hard to complete them all in a timely basis. You sent me the below request for Marie Begay at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, CO.
Thank you for the information, obituary and family connections for Marie. I have added them to her memorial. I also added a photo of her entombment.
