Bio and Links
Bio Photo I came to Maryville TN to care from my Mom, who had come here 20 years before to care for her Mom. I spent a summer month here all during my childhood but never lived in the family "home place". Since coming here I've become engrossed in family history and find a grave was a place to find out quite a lot.

I am related to many of my memorials, but if I have created a memorial for any of your relations, especially those only related to me by marriage, just let me know - I am always happy to transfer to a closer relative. If you want to request that I delete the memorial to your closely related loved one, please use the "suggest a correction form".

Their suggestion:
-------------------------
Malissa spelled her maiden name Duggan. She is the daughter of James Mitchell Duggan and Nancy Keeler Duggan. These relationships are also being requested as additions to this memorial on the portion of the website for relationships. Thank you. Spelling does help since searches for Duggan do not yield those who use the spelling Duggan so the change would be appreciated.

if you look at the stone on Melissa's grave, Dugan is spelled with one 'g' - and of course when walking cemetery and recording. One strives for accuracy but we are not perfect. Our interest and the way it was when we became active 16 years ago was recording cemeteries - not genealogy.

Also your remark re relationships being added, she was linked to her parents and spouse long ago. A list of her siblings also - you may want to check the memorial again.

I agree spelling is very important but when you are recording from stone, you are not aware that the name is misspelled. I
Am not a genealogist but my experience in this situation is one does look for variation of spelling of name - I am aware of three different spellings of my maiden name, two for my mother's maiden name.

Sorry this apparently created some stress as you didn't see the link to the parents etcetera

Haven't see you in awhile
Dee

Here is the second message that I had sent last year. Thx for your help in this matter. Janet

Leona H Hallmark Tow 22576692
You have the wrong picture on this memorial. This is my husbands family and would like to get this corrected. This is the picture info you have listed: Leona is seen here as a young woman with her parents, Mollie Yancey McMurtry and Jasper McMurtry, seven sisters and two brothers. Leona was the granddaughter of Champion Decatur Yancey and great-granddaughter of Percy Dow Yancey, b. 1815, Oglethorpe Co., GA. As you can see this family is in GA.
Thanks for your help

I am doing work in Tow cemetery and I noticed you put a picture on the Leona Tow memorial. The picture you placed on there is not the right picture. Her maiden name was Hallmark. This picture is of a McMurtry family that you added the same picture to. Leona is on the 1910 census with her parents.. Dee L Hallmark, Hettie Hallmark and brother Oscar M Hallmark. Leona married Charles Tow in 1921. His is my husbands family. Thought you could take a look and see what you think. Thanks for your help. Janet Bertram Hallmark jbertram149@yahoo.com

RE: Francis and Mitchell Reed
I have sent you a message on one of your memorials. I don't know where you see Francis Reed married to Mitchell Reed. I show Jeremiah Reed married to Francis Hafley. Mitchell Reed is Jeremiah's son by his previous wife.
Mitchel Reed http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=78639833 He is buried in Mason. Effingham Co., IL with his wife Lovina Slover.

Please look at the Reed Bible which lists the children of Jeremiah Reed. It is http://share.tn.gov/tsla/BibleRecords/Reed%201/Reed%202.pdf

I would need the memorial numbers of your Mitchell & Francis Reed. We may be talking about different families. I hope this will help you.

I've been having trouble with Spellcheck. So problem with last message title. I also had spellcheck issue creating the cemetery. It is presently listed with Connell in the name rather than Conwell.

Hi,

I'm sorry that there has been quite a bit of confusion regarding my g grandfathers memorial.

It is placed in the wrong cemetery and now I have created the correct one in Goss.

It is listed as Hall-Conwell-Fortson in Elbert county. Ig you can move this memorial I would be happy to take management back and get this memorial deleted where it is presently located.

Thanks

Catherine.

I've lost your email address but we corresponded a few years ago trying to prove Robert's Rev War service. I've been working on getting memorials linked to parents, etc. General searching turned up another one of Wilson's children who died during the war and is buried at Marietta. I've asked that he be linked.
