|Paula Casale-Spitler||Swatara he we come...|
Johannes I purchased 290 acres on March 1, 1744 at the confluence of Swatara and Monroe creeks. Eventually his son, Johannes II purchased his property just south and east of his father's on Monroe creek. Bethel Moravian is just to the north of their properties.
Our new Pennsylvania gazetteer arrived today and I've been busily researching the Lickdale area.
I noticed there are two campgrounds nearby, and knowing that the area is also noted for its excellent fossil hunting, we're thinking early May would be a good time for outdoor activities.
Would love to meet up with you there or introduce ourselves to other distant kinfolk who are also interested in family research.

We're hoping to visit the Swatara area in the near future and absorb some of the family vibes, take some pictures and, of course, eat!
