I've been doing genealogy for about two years now and am finding it more and more interesting the more in depth I get. I love all the stories of our ancestors! As you can see from my photo, my other main interest is quilting.|

I am a direct descendant of this Babcock family. I was wondering where you got the photo of the painting of Mary Lawton and the info that it is her? According to a reverse image search, it indicates this photo is of Anne de Vere, Lady Fairfax, wife of Thomas Lord Fairfax of Cameron, died 1665. Many people are using this image as Mary Babcock on their family trees. It is an awesome thing if the photo was really of Mary...Do you have info that this is NOT Anne de Vere? I know I sure would like to clear this up because if this IS Mary Lawton Babcock, many of us would like to know, for sure.
Thank you so much for putting so much time and effort into these memorials, who are my gr-gr-gr-gr-grandparents.

Your welcome, I hope the photo is clear enough. I edited it as best I could. A friend at the cemetery office took the photo for us, when we are at the cemetery next time I will try to get a better photo. Happy to have been of some help to you. Jeri

Mr. Moore has a grave purchased at Dry Creek Cemetery, but he has not yet been interred. The cemetery staff advises me that they have been informed that the family plan is to have Mr. and Mrs. Moore interred in the same urn, so his ashes are being held by the family for the rest of her life. At that time, both of them will be interred together.
If you want me to go take a picture of the empty unmarked grave, I can do that, but I do not really see the point. If you would like a scenic picture of the area where that grave is, I would be happy to do that for you.

You have requested a photo for this gentleman. I do not find him in the Dry Creek register. Do you know what his first name was? Knowing that would greatly help me in my search for him.
