I live in McDonough Ga. 30 miles s of Atl.|
I love History, mainly of the South!
I am currently tracing the names, Leach & Phillips (Dad's Side)
And my Husband's side, Chitwood & Hull.
If you would like to link up info, email me.
Tracing your tree is exciting and thanks to Ancestry.com its all so easy. All of this information is free to the public (at courthouses), but Ancestry makes it an easy access. I love to find my ancestor online and then try and find where they are buried. Thats why this site is so helpful.
At the moment, I'm trying to locate a "family plot" in Greene County. with the names of John William Leach and Jesse Leach. If you have any info, please pass along to me.

Hey Rhonda -
I noticed you manage the memorial for John W Leach (1853-1920). I believe he was the brother of my great grandmother, Mary Jane Leach Richardson (1851-1934). Do you have any info regarding his possible parents? His death certificate lists his father as John Leach, but his mother is listed as "don't know." In the 1860 Census, I believe both of them were living in the household of William and Mary Leach in Gilmer County, GA, but I don't believe they were the parents. Mary Jane's parents are a huge brick wall for me. If you have any info or clues you can share, I would very much appreciate it.

I added some photos for Walker United Methodist Church in Greene Co., GA, including some Leach tombstones. I uploaded two photos for the William M. Leach memorial that you manage. Strangely, the two tombstones give two different dates of birth and death but only off by a couple of days. I'm not sure which is correct, but I thought you might want to look at the photos when you have a chance.

Rhonda, I don't have anything in the way of information on the Phillips, and only a little on the Reeves. I am not currently researching the Reeves Family, although I have been wanting to start. I am connected to the Reeves via my sister Brenda, who married Miss Carrie's youngest son Lynn Jerry. Brenda does not do genealogy and does not have a computer. You might be able to find her daughter Marie on facebook. Wish I was of more help. Billie Greene
