I have been retired for almost eight years and have really gotten into genealogy. For some time now I have been wanting to take pictures of family grave sites and came across Find A Grave. As long as I'm getting ready to go to several cemeteries for my project I thought it would be nice to help others. At last I have a way to ask others to do the same for me in different cities. I am willing to do all of Milwaukee County so just let me know.

RE: Norman Mieritz
It was my pleasure. The cemetery is so big that it is taking me a while.

Hi Lynne, Just saw your note from April 16th. Clara Meijer De Groote was my 2GGgrandmother, her father was Evert and siblings Gerhardt, Peter who died in the Milwaukee area and Bart, who I know came to the US and John who I think stayed in the Netherlands. You said you need pics in Iowa and California. I am in Iowa so let me know what you need and I will see if I or another can help.

Thank you so much for taking this picture Lynne, so sad that the stone is in such poor condition. Is there maybe no stone for his brother? Again thank you and please let me know if I can ever return the favor. Karen

Michael Grovogel at Calvary Cemetery

We know Michael Grovogel is buried at Calvary & we also know that there is NO gravestone or marker or anything to indicate that Michael is buried at where he is buried.
It would be nice if you or someone would go to Calvary and at the exact spot where Michael is buried (even though there isn't a stone or marker), and take a photo of the ground.

Then, when you are at home processing the photo, supper-impose white or dark lettering with his name & place the lettering above or at head of gravesite and forward it to us.

At sometime in near future, we want to place a small marker at his gravesite.

RE: Claiming a Grave Site
I take pictures as they are requested. I took Block 2 at Calvary to help me figure out the pattern, since there so few readable graves, but they just didn't make any sense. I did part of Block 3 where it only has a few graves. I did figure out the layout. Dinner time bye

RE: Claiming a Grave Site
Mount Olivet, sometimes. I have about 12 of mine to do. Saint Adalbert, I have a constant 20 to do, clear some out, and add more. Holy Cross I have 100+ to do. That one would be good for you mostly flat. One little hill at 2b and 2a. I have an Irish name, but 3/4 of my family in on my mother side. My cousin did the tree. I am filling in the holes.
