RE: Selden Erastus Marvin
Katie,

Thank you! That's great.
You have a fascinating family group around Selden Marvin.

Katie,

No, I am not related to Selden, but I believe that one of my cousins, William Shaw, was a good friend of his. William and Selden were part of the regimental staff of the 112th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War.

I have an ancient photo album which has three pictures of Selden in it.

Selden Erastus Marvin
Hi Katie,

Could you transfer Selden Erastus Marvin #32517155 over to me? I'd like to link him up with his parents and children.

All the best,
Scott

Would you like me to delete it, now that you have seen it?

I have added her obituary to her page so you can see how she is referred to as an adopted daughter and niece.

You can download it from her page and I can then delete it.

Just send me a message asking me to delete the clipping.

Katie - I found the phrase in her obituary notice in the WA Post. Obviously the individual who furnished the information felt it was important enough to include in the notice of her death. Have you considered ordering the will of her uncle?

Katie,
I'm researching this line at the moment and according to his obit, he was born 28 Oct 1784 in Washington, Litchfield, Connecticut.
He's my 3rd cousin 5x removed, geez.
Thank you,
Philip G. Parker
