|"And so, we can only KNOW what we have in life. We can only hope or believe for what there may be in a future life. And life is unbreakably bound in the fabric of the clan. Each individual will eventually go his way, but the FAMILY stays on forever. At the last moment of survival of this plodding, solid earth, some member of our big family will be there to see the last of the grand finale."|

William Byrd's pension application in 1821 stated his 99 year mother-in-law was living with him.
|Renee Revaz||Nathaniel Tompkins' family|
Hi there! Just wanted to correct the parents you have for Nathaniel Tompkins (death 1684, Eastchester). There were TWO John Tompkins settling in MA and CT at the same exact time. This Nathaniel who is buried in Eastchester is NOT related to the John and Margaret you have listed. Here is his story: John emigrated to America from England prior to 1640. He settled for a time in Concord MA, and joined the colony under Rev. John Jones. This group split from the church there, and went onto settle Fairfield CT. He was at Eastchester from 1644 until 1688. His children were Ruth, Nathaniel, John. There is some confusion to his wife's name; some have her as Elizabeth, some as Ruth. If you look up the history of Fairfield CT, you can find more information about him. It is very important that we distinguish OUR John Tompkins from the other, who was a son of Ralph who came over on the TrueLove. He is NOT our ancestor.
More information? I have pages of records, and have reached out to the NE Genealogical society. So far they do not have any records to prove our John's lineage, but I have my guesses :). --Renee

I noticed that you have several memorials for the Byrd family in Jerusalem Church Cemetery #2294242. Would you consider combining these memorials with memorials for the same people in Jerusalem United Methodist Church Cemetery #50776? Keeping duplicate memorials to a minimum will help ancestors receive more accurate information in one place. Thank you so much for your cooperation.

|Benn Cormier||Eloise Roughton Berthiaume (1935 - 1997)|
Hello! Just wondering if the grave I took a picture of today was that of your Eloise. She is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery in Springfield next to Norman J. Berthiaume (d. 2004). Just making sure this is her before I added the photo. I see in her bio that she is married to Nick, not Norman. That's what was making me doubt.
|Sandra Schmitt||Merle F Tompkins|
Does any of the Tompkins family have a record of Merle Frank Tompkins having married Roberta Elaine Speed December 27, 1940 in Fairplay, Colorado. Roberta is an aunt of mine. She was from Newcastle, Colorado.
Thank you for the links on the Marrs family. They are my direct lines. Blessings.

|S.R.F.||Colonel Christopher Tomplins IV|
Do you know whether he served in the War of 1812? The records I have found for Christopher Tompkinses in that War (from Virginia) say he was a Private or a Major, not a Colonel.
