I was raised in southeast Iowa, lived in the Illinois quad-cities for over 35 years, and now live in Dubuque, IA.
I've been seriously doing genealogy for seven or eight years. It's a fascinating hobby.
I'd be happy to share any information I have and would be grateful for anything you might want to pass my way.
If I've posted pages for your family, I'll be glad to add information or transfer them to you. Just let me know.
My Sadler family held their 101st consecutive reunion this past summer in Keosauqua, IA. My sister and I put together a Sadler cookbook last year to commemorate our 100th reunion. We received recipes from Sadler descendants all over the country. It was a lot of work but was a great way to meet cousins you never knew you had. I recommend you try it.

It sounds like you made a nice connection with a distant family member. Please leave your photographs there -- they are good ones.

Thanks again Linda for the great pictures!

Linda, Thank you for your email about the Lovedy's. I will be glad to transfer their entries to you! I worked at the Fairfield Glove Company in the 1970's and early 1980's and fondly remember them. I'd go down to Birmingham once in a while for garage sales and Margaret would always be having one there, so I'd stop by and visit. Thanks for contacting me. Let me know when you have posted to their entries so I can view your information about them. I found their headstones at Maple Hill Cemetery this past summer while seeking out others for photo requests, and I thought that since I knew them personally that I'd take the time to make entries for them in case anyone who was related came accross their entries. You are that person, and I am glad to have done the initial posting for them. All the best, Richard. PS: I think that they have other relatives buried there. If you post entries for them I'll try to track them down next spring when it warms up.

Thank you for taking the time to get the photo for me ...They were my great grandparents and living here in California I probably would have never got it without your help.
