Annie Harden memorial
I had a photo of the tombstone on the memorial - most in that cemetery - but had them all removed by Jim Tipton when he sold the site to Ancestry. Ancestry's terms of service gives anyone who pays them money the right to lift photos without credit.

I still have the photo and the date on the stone looks like 1849. It may be read wrong, but the last numeral looks more like a 9 than the other 8.

I am a DAR member and do all of the lineage research for my chapter, but due to problems in the past with other daughters and chapters I cannot share it with you. For this I am truly sorry.

RE: JOHN LECONTE HARDEN tombstone
Hello Karen.
Thank you for your remarks. I'm grateful for the right timing and medical help. I am especially grateful, too, for my daughter next door, husband, and other daughter who rallied around me to recognize the problem and nursed me through the hospital stay and early days home.

Thank you also for your giving me credit for the photos. I just wish I could have made better ones, but some of the subjects were too old or worn to do much better.

Best regards,
Joy

RE: JOHN LECONTE HARDEN tombstone
Hi Karen. Congratulations on your progress. I've been slowing coming back from unexpected surgery the end of July. All is well now. I had fallen in January and from that a slow brain bleed formed. Now I'm ready to get back to my favorite hobbies.

The inscription is "He was a good man, full of the Holy Ghost and of Faith."

I will check in a minute, but thought I had sent an edit to the memorial owner. Who knows with what was going on with my head!

Best of everything as you and Anita end your work. Exciting.

Joy

RE: COOK FAMILY CEMETERY, Snow Creek, Franklin Co, VA
The dates for Sally I have as 1/20/1763 to 4/6/1824. The top says sacred to the memory of Sally Cook. The bottom appears to be maybe a poem or Bible verse. I can make out words but not all of them. Hopefully, the write up on the cemetery includes the poem. I haven't thought about getting the other memorials from Dee's account. You can still submit edits that will processed automatically when the owner has passed. Hopefully, the person the society sent out can find the Clement cemetery. I know someone who photographed all the cemeteries on Snow Creek Road a few years ago so since he didn't get this one it may not be clearly visible from the road. I live in California, but I am familiar with the Snow Creek area as that is where my mother in law lives.

RE: MEMORIAL # 156763225 - SARAH SALLY FUQUA COOK
Hello there. You may use my photos for whatever documentation that you need. I will try to work with Sally's photo and see what I can come up with. They did a Franklin county cemetery book several years ago and they may have done a transcription of the stone for it. I will check with someone who has a copy of the book.
