RE: Hoffman family
My parents were JANIE ALLEY, maiden name CORDLE.

My dad name was GEORGE P. ALLEY.

I know very little about dad's side of the family. I just know dad's father was JOHN ALLEY.

I read your letter. Your letter to me left to much for me to give you info.

Your E-mail would not work. I married a HOFFMAN in 1970.

Please fix your E-mail and if you still want me answer any any questions I will try.

RE: Mahala Jane harper
Also even though I did not have his full name I had her father born in North Carolina and her mother born in Kentucky, probably from census records.

More than I had. I did not have a mother or father for her. Just husband, children, and cemetery where she is supposed to be buried. Marriage date of 30 march 1848 in Muhlenberg KY.

RE: Mahala Jane harper
Sorry realize I did ask for burial place when I already knew it. But I was wondering if you knew her death date and place. I have been told recently that requests for edits have been ignored by me. Unfortunately I never received them so could not edit them. But if you know her burial date can you let me know?
With her death between 1880 and 1900 census it would be hard to look that up in a newspaper archive.

Mahala Jane harper
Would you happen to know when she passed away or where she is buried?

Those pictures of Henry Harper and family are so cool! He and Nancy J Sallee (Sally) are my 4th Great Grandparents. His son Lonnie and Elizabeth Wilkins are my 3rd Great Grandparents. Benjamin Noffsinger and Delia Harper are my 2nd great grandparents. I had the honor of meeting her before she passed near Detroit Michigan. I wanted to ask you if it would be okay with you if I used those photos on my family tree on ancestry . com. I also have a couple questions, which you may or may not be able to answer. Henry's mother is Catherine Miller and she was born in Tennessee, do you know if that is accurate? I haven't been able to trace her at all. His father is Nathan Mathew Harper Jr son of Nathan Harper from North Carolina who was a revolutionary soldier, is that correct? I just want to make sure because their are so many nathan harper's scattered on the eastern coast it can be confusing. I also noticed that some have it posted on websites such as find a grave that Nathan jr was married to a polly farmer before Catherine Miller. I found his first son James H Harper's death certificate and it says that his mothers name is Polly Hill, not farmer and that he was actually born in Indiana not Muhlenberg like the rest of the children. It says that Nathan jr was born in Muhlenberg Kentucky instead of North Carolina. Also on Lucy Ann Harper's Death certificate it says that her father Nathan Jr was born in Indiana instead of Kentucky, or N.C. has their been any stories passed through the family that Nathan Jr may have been born in indiana maybe during the migration of nathan sr? Also that Nathan jr stayed in Indiana until he met and married polly hill (farmer) and had their son James? It is so difficult to figure these records out because sometimes they call him nathan and sometimes mathew nathan. I never know if I have the right person. Thank you again for taking the time to read and it is a pleasure meeting you Betty...Sincerely, Angela Payne-Heil
