I live in Las Vegas NV. I have been doing Genealogy for many years.I was so delighted to have found this site " Find a Grave" because of a recomendation from my Aunt Shirley who also is a member. I love doing genealogy work for my family. This site is wonderful it is great for genealogy. I try to put inportant info in for just that reason, in case someone is looking for their relative and need a little more info.|

|S.H.||Wm. Goodwin Miller Cemetery Name Change|
Goodwin Miller is my 3rd Great Grandfather and I recently went to see burial site. It was difficult to find because marker is so worn but I found it using the photo's on find a grave. I knew the area and where the cemetery was located so I did not have problem finding it but the church name has changed as well as the exterior has been modified making it difficult for someone to find using name and photos currently on this memorial. I have taken new photos if you would like to add to this memorial. The church name is now Barrow Community Church - it is of course still located at 1385 Harmony Grove Church Road in Auburn, GA 30011.

Hi Melinda, I am one of the many GGGranddaughters of Narcisse Cote and Sophia Vadboncoeur. Their son Julius Noah Cote (Memorial# 7517967) and his wife, Leah Rose Chayer (Memorial# 7569774) are my Great Grandparents. Their daughter Lillian Loretta Cote (Memorial# 148343366) and her husband, George William Hermen (Memorial# 148343421) are my grandparents. Their only son Robert Louis Hermen and his second wife, Patricia Kay Fowler (Memorial# 153247828) are my parents. I see your name on many of the memorials I visit. I'm just wondering how are we related? And maybe we can share genealogy notes for this awsome Cote family of ours...

|Shirley Goingღ||RE: Corrections|
These were sent right after I forwarded the memorials to you. If you can't find them let me know and I'll resend. Luv U Melinda. Please always know that your Aunt Shirley loves you now and I pray you know I always have and always will. Tony called me but we haven't talked as of yet, we keep missing each other. I talk to him less than I talk to you and since you two are the makings of my big sister I feel I need to keep in touch with you and make sure you are okay. Have you talked to Candyce and/or Cindy Teri lately? Please let me know as I never hear from them either.Luv to u darling. How's the home change coming along?
Are you aware that you have an "Edit" button at the top right side of your contribution page? This is somewhat new and actually quite handy. Push into the edits and just hit the "accept" button, if you accept. If you don't hit "do not accept". Then at the bottom hit the big "accept" button and all the corrections are made for you. If you get the suggestions which I have sent to you, you have to go in and manually do these updates. You probably already know about this and I'm blowing in the wind, but just in case thought I'd let you know. I've sent some updates many months back and they have not been made so wonder if you just didn't see them. Let me know and you can transfer the ones I sent you back to me and I'll be more than happy to keep up with them since they are immediate family. Luv u, Aunt sj
|Demaris Miller||Goodwin Miller, your 3rd(?) great grandfather|
Melinda and "Aunt Shirley,"
Thank you for what you are doing. I am the keeper of the flame for my family and my husband's family. Your notes about Goodwin Miller are wonderful!
Goodwin Miller and Sarah Glasson are my husband, Jim Miller's, third great grandparents. The Miller line is the most difficult line I have worked on. I knew Jim's grandfather James Clifford Miller, and even met his great grandmother, Margaret Susan "Maggie"Milligan Miller, once, but I was never able to extract much information from them about family. Since their deaths, I have visited other relatives -- who also are gone now -- and am doing my best.
Have you been able to trace back beyond Obediah Miller and Elizabeth? I found one Census return for Obediah, Sr., and a couple for Obediah, Jr., but little else. The name "Obediah" makes me think these Millers might have been Germanic, but I have no proof. I hope my Jim Miller will be able to join the FTDNA Miller project and learn some more.
Bless you for doing what you are doing. I manage only one small family cemetery near the Atlanta Airport and a few plots beyond that.

Thanks for your reply. Glad all is well. Yes Shirley is special. Her work on findagrave is remarkable.
|Sue Seeterlin Rice||Your Aunt Shirley|
Just noticed that you have taken some of Shirleys memorials into your care. Hoping Shirley is ok. I have had the pleasure of working with her regarding my Rice/ Stubblefield line in Arkansas. I sent her a note within the last month and got no reply. Please let me know!!

Melinda I have transfered management of the memorial over to you.
|On the Trail||Pvt James O Miller # 133287931|
Melinda I am working on a virtual cemetery for all the members of the 16th Georgia Infantry and created a memorial for James O Miller, killed at the Battle of Cramptons Gap Sept 14 1862. I found in the settlement documents that his father was Goodwin Miller and linked the memorials. I am happy to transfer management of James' memorial to you since you are a family member. Please advise.
