This is a wonderful place to share some of the information that I have and hopefully help others in their research as well.

If you email me please put findagrave in the subject line and your number if you want a transfer or if I need to change or add a name, date or info. Many "THANK YOU" 's to those who also have walked these cemeteries and added tombstone photos .

way back....Alonzo was a brother to my Great Great Grandfather Chester Cornelius Wilcox. So from my tree & counting I got back to my 10th great Grandfather Daniel Wilcox. Edward Wilcox. my 9th great grandfather was in Rhode Island in the early 1630's and died in 1680 with birth about 1600. The Wilcox family is well documented in old records.
I have many Wilcox branches to research. Alonzo's branch came up on an Ancestry DNA match. Very intriguing .
Enjoyed sharing!

Related distantly to her husband's side of the family, Wilcox.
Sounds like she was very nice and fun aunt!
Thank you.

May I have permission to use the photo you have posted on Elizabeth WIlcox's memorial? It will used on a private Ancestry tree. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

RE: Sawczyszyn
Happy New Year, Joe. I sent a message to Darleen through Facebook a while ago but haven't heard from her. Since she and I aren't friends on Facebook, the message probably went to the "Other" folder that is difficult to find. Could you let her know I tried to contact her just in case she didn't see my message? Thank you!

RE: Sawczyszyn
Hi Joe, thank you for writing. My great grandmother is Mary Sawczyszyn Opalanko, and I have a feeling that one of her brothers is Metro Sawczyszyn, Anna's husband. I'm trying to figure it out and thought Anna's headstone could help in some way. Metro and Anna lived in Carnegie, PA (where my family is from) for a while in the 1920s, and my Mary Opalanko named her first two children Anna and Metro.

Did you know Metro? Do you know when he passed away? I'd love to track down his obituary. I think I can get Anna's obituary from the Steuben Co. Historian.

Could I do photo requests for the Sawczyszyns at St. Mary's, and you could add your photos there?

Thanks again for your note!
