Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in Genealogy since 1985 when I went to go live with my Grandma and Grandpa Kinnick after high school. My children are grown now and so I am ready to start digging. It is wonderful the technology available for research compared to all the tons of paperwork, books, and pictures I inherited from grandma from years of her intense research via snail mail!!

More than anything it is the migration patterns and township creation of my ancestors that I find absolutely fascinating. Also, the nobility in 3 of my lines. The access online of their lives, the pictures of them, and their castles are exhilarating to say the least!!

Thank you Aunt Karen for already researching my maternal line!!

"Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust."

"Lord, help me dig into the past
And sift the sands of time
That I might find the roots that made
This family tree of mine.

Lord, help me trace the ancient road
On which my fathers trod
And led them through so many lands
To find our present sod.

Lord, help me find an ancient book
Or dusty manuscript
That's safely hidden now away
In some forgotten crypt.

Lord, let it bridge the gap that haunts
My soul when I can't find
The missing link between some name
That ends the same as mine."

Mary Halgin Kinnick
Mary Halgin Kinnick died in childbirth with her second child.

Her first child was Louise Kinnick Herbert, my aunt, and Kathleen Kinnick Tucker's half sister. She is still alive and living in Little Rock, Arkansas. Her daughter's name is Karen.

The record that states the Grethel Kinnick is her mother is not correct.she married John Braziers Kinnick in her 40's and had no children.

Therefore, at least two records need to be corrected.

Thank you for all your hard work. I just want the facts to be correct. Write to me anytime!

Got the facts now
Okay, Louise Kinnick was the daughter of John Braziers Kinnick's second wife..the one that lost the son in childbirth.

His third wife, Grethel, never had any children. She married him in her 40's.

This is what I found out, so you might need to correct these facts. I am the person who identified Louise Kinnick Herbert in the picture with my grandfather. Write me anytime, relative!

Okay, I figured the other question out, but I always thought that Grethel Kinnick had no children, and as GGrandhis third wife, Grethel married past middle age. I am curious as to who Louise's mother is because my mother told me that she was a half sister. She also told me that she and Louise were seperated at a young age after the Great Depression when families got split up, but now I am quite curious about all of this. Louise is still alive and living in Little Rock, but we are not close with her family, unfortunately.
