Bio and Links
Greetings! I am researching the following surnames; Croft, Butler, Glover, Franklin, Reynolds, Bracy, Beshears, Butner, Alexander, Chambless, Woodard, McMurray, Williams, Davis, Southard, Foley, Harry, Busse, Linebarger, Koelling, Toellner, Siekmeier, Schroeder, Cox, McBroom, Webb, Taylor, and Wilson.

I am happy to transfer any memorials to direct descendants -- following the FAG guidelines. Also, if you want me to link individuals please be prepared to cite source information for the link (ie. birth certificate, census record, personal family information). I do not want to perpetuate bad research and information -- just my way of ensuring accurate information.

If you find mistakes that I have made - please accept my apologies and let me know what they are. I am transcribing large volumes of cemetery records and, although I try to double check for duplicates, sometimes they happen.

Clarissa M. Henderson
You have this lady's name wrong. Her full name, including maiden name was Clarissa Harlow (Brown) Henderson. Her middle initial was H. for Harlow, not M. Her first name was Clarissa, not Clariss. Even your posted gravestone photo has it right..

Henderson
Hello concerning the grave headstone of my Gr. Gr. Grandmother Clarrisa Harlow Henderson. The spelling you have on her page # 171955471, is different than the headstone. Could this be corrected.
Thank you very much, Catherine Popineau Brown

Ellie,
Thank you for a gallant effort to locate the Eisenach gravestone markers. It's sad when cemeteries aren't maintained, even sadder when cemetery owners are uncooperative. I appreciate your time and effort spent. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

RE: Julianna Lineberger Hoots
Michael Hoots dies in 1890 and leaves a will naming Peter Linebarger as his executor(in theory,That would make Julianna Uley Hoots Peter's sister)
John Linebarger 1 and Michael Hoots are in the Revolutionary war as militia in North Hampton, PA.
Uley Hoots lives next door to a widower Andrew Killian who has a young son born about 1790. They marry or dont (no record), but have a daughter Eula Ann Killian born 1792. The daughter married John Duncan in NC 1807.
George Huffman, Henry Huffman, and John Linbarger are the owners of 166 acres of land in NC whom they obtained it from William Killian. They sell the property in 1805 to Mathias Berry and Andrew Killian signs as a witness. (The thing here is George is married to Susannah Hoots, Henry is Married to Elizabeth Hoots, and John Linebarger is married to Mary Hoots and they just possessed land and sold it, that once belonged to a Killian and possible relative to Andrew Killian Who may be married to the Hoots girl's mother Uley, mother of Eula Ann (Killian) Duncan).
John Linebarger, Henry Huffman, Andrew Linebarger, and John Duncan all move to Parke County, Indiana 1824-1825. According to records there they Buy adjoining land from the federal Government in southern Liberty and northern Penn Townships (Documented) John Linebarger dies in 1847 and makes mention of his nephew John Duncan in his will. John is married to Mary's sister/niece.
By about 1850 all of the Duncans and several of the Linebarger's move to the same approximate area in Illinois.
My primary source for this information is from Jean S Morris, Genealogist of PA and several other Linebarger descendants

RE: Julianna Lineberger Hoots
Yes I am related. She is my 4th Great Grandmother through her daughter Elizabeth "Betsy"Hoots Huffman.
In German the J is pronounced as Y. Most of these immigrants came to America and the first people to ask their names were English, Probably in the William Penn Colony. Their recorders would not ask how to spell names they just wrote them as they sounded. So Julianna quickly became Yoley or Euly. After she was part of the Family, several others were named Julianna and her youngest Daughter was named Eula Ann Killian Duncan and she even had a granddaughter named Eula Jane. Probably more than you wanted to know.

Julianna Lineberger Hoots
I do not mind providing an explanation I spent a lot of time on this line. I worked with another Linbarger researcher at the time in the SF Bay area, dont remember his name. I also purchased a professional researchers work from I believe PA. I have lots of paper and books to look through so this will not be a quick response. My E mail direct is crfordy@comcast.net and I would prefer to correspond through it and not go through a third party server to communicate.
The Simple answer is that Anna Maria Hoots married her first cousin John linebarger, a common practice at the time. John Linebarger's father I believe was in the war with and/or knew Michael Hoots through that connection. I believe that it was Peter Linebarger that mentions Michael Hoots in maybe his will as being his brother in law, making Julianna his sister. Ok as I said before this was the SIMPLE answer off the top of my head until I can get more specific. That should get you far enough to know where my tree information is from at least. I am going to Texas next week for 2 months so I will try to get the information to you before then, or at least as much as I can get worked up. After that I will have to wait until I get home. If you have any other questions I would appreciate a list so that I can get to them while I go through my stuff.
