I was born and raised in the oil fields of the Texas Panhandle, and since we did not live near either my father's or mother's family, I grew up thinking we had a very small family. After I retired, I started tracing my father's family, which, except for his immediate family, I knew very little about. I thought this would be a simple project, however, it turned into a huge project that both my husband and I love pursuing, and it keeps growing.
Please feel free to use the photos I have posted on any Find A Grave memorial, BUT please give credit to my husband by showing "photo by Bill Lewis". We take them to share with others but ask that you be courteous about their use.
If you would like a memorial transferred, please ask, and if you are more closely related or it is someone that is not our family, I will be happy to transfer it.
Please DO NOT add death certificates to the memorials I have created. This is not the place for death certificates - it is a place to honor the lives of those who have gone before us.
Also, please DO NOT add obituaries, family history, or documents in the photo section. E-mail them to me and I will be happy to add them to the bio section.

Just wanted to let you know the reason that I declined the nickname edit.
Since the name "Mrs. A. N. Loftis" is shown on the tombstone, I have included it in the nickname field to (hopefully) keep people from creating duplicate memorials. And technically, since it is shown as her name on the tombstone, it could be considered a nickname.

Thanks so much. I figured out some info on them and emailed you.
|Vern Hixson||RE: Lemuel Griffith|
You're most welcome!
|Eric Brantley||RE: Ash Family|
Always welcome. I thought I had them all but it seems there is another in a different section. Any idea why he is not with the rest of the family?

Carolyn, I have added the photo as you requested. Than I went to Ancestry.com and you had added a correction for Eller Roberson. She was the mother-in-law of my mother-in-law's double cousin. Eller (Ella) was the mother of Juanita, who married George Wade Chancellor. I remember Juanita, but I never knew her mother. I really believe the theory of 6 degrees of separation. Best regards to you,

Thank you for continuing to accept the edits to link the Lane siblings to their parents.
|Vanessa ||RE: Blackwelder|
You are welcome! I have added the photo to Lester Blackwelder also.

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain the discrepancy and point out the spelling on the marker. I've changed the spelling, added a note in the bio section and requested photos of the markers for her parents to which I am related thru her mother.
Both NC death certs are typed but still could be incorrect. None the less, I've seen many discrepancies over the years and appreciate your efforts help me keep things straight.

Thanks for your interesting response. I will keep it in mind for future references.

Thank you for accepting the edits for the memorials of Conley Carrico #58072836 and also for Elbert Lane #65074845 and his brother Benjamin Lane.
I saw that you are a cousin of Elbert and Benjamin; so what relation does that make you to their mother, Julia? If you have any further information on her, I would be interested.
Also, are you related to Conley Carrico?
Cheers to you and your husband for being volunteers for Find a Grave.
