Jonathan Matchett's first wife
Mary,

Jonathan Matchett married several woman who, sadly, died leaving him a widower.

He seems like a remarkable man and an awesome ancestor of yours.

Anyway, I am trying to find out where his first wife, Emily Kelley, is buried.

I only know she died in 1850.

Do you know where she might be buried?

Emily is my ggg grand aunt.

I just learned about her after a visit to the Garst Museum where I was able to find her dad's will and her brother's probate records.

I am trying to have all of her mom and dad's children linked to them if I can.

Thanks in advance for your kind assistance,

Brooks Kelley

Hi This Peter Hammond did not marry Margaret Houseman. The Peter that married Houseman was s/o a Peter Hammond and Anna Barbara Heibst. Peter and Margaret lived and died in Botetourt Co., VA and their descendants have a reunion yearly.

Peter s/o Obediah and Betty Pullen Hammond married a Margaret (unknown last name)and settled in Knox Co., KY

Hope the corrections help Marsha

One of the oldest photographic portraits known, made by Joseph Draper of New York, in 1839 or 1840, of his sister, Dorothy Catherine Draper. The oldest surviving permanent photograph of the image formed in a camera was created by Niépce in 1826 or 1827. Carolyn

Tandy Layne Branham
DO you know anything about thr lineage of Tandy Layne Branham ? Some genealogists list James S.Layne
as the father of Tandy Branham, whose mother was Milly Branham. Tandy was born in Pike Co., Ky.in 1831. At some point in time his name was changed to Branham. Any info you may have concerning Tandy Branham would be greatly appreciated.

Alexander McNutt
Hi. I have Alexander's Official Roster of Service Cards with the correct dates on it. It lists that he served in both Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 and gives his company and rank. It does list his death as December 14, 1852, and his birth as May 1, 1769. I would be happy to post these two cards on his memorial, or can send them to you and you can post them.
Please let me know.
Thank you,
Kris
