Luster Family
Please contact me at My name is Gail and I would love to talk to you about your connection to the Luster family. I have done some genealogy work on that family and am actually in possession of an old sewing machine that belonged to Ollie's sister Lela.

Ernest Leroy Goble II
Ernie Goble II was my husband's uncle. He actually died in 2006 and is buried in San Jose, CA. I need to find the obituary. I have added his name to Findagrave and linked him to the family. I have also added his daughter Adria's name and information and linked her to her father. Thank you for the reminder that these family members had not been included.

Child McKenna

Hello! The record has this baby as a stillborn child of Michael and Kate, rather than John and Catherine.

Hope this is helpful -

RE: Mary Chenoweth
You're welcome, and thank you for your kind words. I just wanted to make sure that I was marking the actual burial location, rather than just the area. That is actually one of the oldest parts of the cemetery, so there are very few navigational number "plugs" on the ground. You should see the map I have. My notes are all over it, showing landmarks, large monuments, palm tress, etc. so that it is easier to find my way when looking for a grave.

I was hoping to find that her husband, Arthur, was buried next to her. Being interested in Civil War soldiers, I am going to ask at the office for his location. I'll let you know if I can get a photo.

Update re: Mary Chenoweth
Hello again! I am adding another photo. This one shows the exact location. I am leaving the original photo on the memorial until after you see this message and look at the new photo.

As you can see when comparing the two photos, it turned out, based on information from the office staff, that she is a little further south in the row that I had originally calculated. They were able to tell me that she is buried next to George Wildsung (who has a marker), thus I was able to locate her exact spot.

I know this doesn't change the fact that she doesn't have a marker, but at least you know exactly where she is, rather than a guess-timate.

Mary Chenoweth
Hello! I am about to fulfill your photo request but unfortunately, it is a photo of the area, only. There is no headstone. This was confirmed last week by cemetery personnel. I tried to determine the exact spot, but there are quite a few unmarked graves in the area. If her veteran husband is buried next to her, he doesn't have a marker, either, although I did not confirm that at the office. I searched the entire area trying to find evidence of a marker for him. If you have a chance, please call the office to see if he is buried next to her, and if there is supposed to be a marker. There is a chance that if he has one, it is covered up by sod.

Anyway, I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome. I am always disappointed when there is no marker.

Best regards,

RE: Obituary for Henson S. Bell #154008379
Thank you for your kind message and appreciation. It made my day.! It means so much to me to share these old letters with family members.
I actually found three more letters related to Henson's horses, not written by him. If you're interested in them, I could scan, transcribe and mail you a CD of the 3 with the other letters. I can message you my email address on Ancestry so you can send me your address. Just let me know.
I saved Sarah's death certificate from your tree. Thanks for adding.
I haven't found a death certificate for Henson. They weren't required back when he died.
