I LOVE Jeff Gordon. I also love Carl Edwards & Dale Jr. They are all doing well this year. Are you going to Dover in September? We have seats in the air conditioned grandstand on the backstretch. I can't sit out in the sun so I have to avoid the outside grandstands.
Before I worked at the Census Bureau, I worked at a Catholic school, Bishop McNamara High School. But my salary was funded by tuition and when the enrollment decreased, I couldn't afford to stay, so I went to the Census Bureau. It's the best job I ever had.
If you are serious about genealogy, buy yourself the computer program called Family Tree Maker. It is user friendly and helps track family members & their relationships to one another. I add something to it every day. It's like putting a puzzle together.

It's nice to meet you. I live in Maryland, too. I live in Forestville, about two miles from Andrews AFB. I work at the Census Bureau in Suitland.
It looks like we are related. Here is how:
David Goode (1819-1910) married Nancy Thomas (1821-1891).
David & Nancy's son, Lemuel Goode (1846-1957) married Tabitha Ramey (1850-1895) and had Rev. Green Pendleton (G.P.) Goode (1868-1957). G.P. Goode also married Sarah Eliza Cook (1872-1895), who is related to my husband's grandmother, Tennie Cook (1892-1984).
David & Nancy's daughter, Virginia Goode (1853-1915) married Elihu Green (1856-1940). Elihu & Virginia had a son, Ira J. Green (1882-1962). Ira J. Green married Tennie Cook. Their daughter, Leola Green is my husband's mother.
I have found some great websites if you are doing genealogy:
If you need any more information, just let me know. It was great hearing form you.
