RE: Howard burials in Union Cemetery, Union Twp., Morgan Co., Ohio
Good Morning! I am looking at the cemetery where I believe Samuel M Howard to be buried. You seem to be mistaken, as there are 5 other Howard family members buried in Union Cemetery, all having headstone photos. Howard is the only one without a headstone. I am certain that I had in a photo request, as I have added a note saying that "no headstone was found". I still believe that he is buried there with his wife and family members, even though the DC and Obit were not specific. We have found at least 4 cemeteries in that area with many missing burial records. We talked to the caregivers of those cemeteries, even having them accompany us on a search, and were told that is true, so records are suspect. At this time I will leave Samuel with his wife and family. Thank you very much for your interest and information.

I will check tomorrow morning, as I don't remember the particulars, but I see that a note was adding saying the location was in doubt. As far as cemetery records go, they are often lax or missing. I agree with you that is is doubtful. Thank you for the information.
