RE: John James Tidwell
thank you for the info. My John Tidwell was also the son of Austin. And the grandson of Benjamin. I guess I can conclude that this is my 2nd G Uncle. That makes you and I cousins for sure!
This Tidwell line has been quite mysterious! For me anyway. I am descended from Austin's son Frances Marion. 1843-1896.
If you would like any of my info. Let me know.
Thanks! Melodie

Memorial Transfer Request

Will you be so kind as to transfer the memorial for Michael McKenzie Mattox to me, please? He is my DAR Patriot Ancestor, and I wish to update his information as per information contained in our DAR files. He is my 5th G-Grandfather. I already manage his wife's memorial. His Find A Grave# is: 27979494. My Find A Grave Number is: 47101821. Thank you!

John James Tidwell
Hello, is telling me that this man is my 2nd Great Uncle. I notice that you don't have any parental information. Have you been able to acquire any further information about this gentleman? I only have Ancestry to go by but am
weary of adding him as my uncle without concrete proof. Thanks for any help you can provide! :)

Ruhamah Irwin Luffman
Good evening,
I am confused about the birth year on Mrs. Luffman's headstone. It is listed as 1884, but on the census records her birth year is listed as "about 1835."
On the 1860 census the four children have birthdays before 1884. Is there a mistake on the inscription or is there a second wife with the same name? I am related to Georgia Grantham Luffman that married John Wesley Luffman a son of Henry and Ruhamah. Nan

Just wanted to say Hi, I saw that we are related through the Luffman family. My great grandmother x2 was Elizabeth Tennessee Luffman who married Henry Stevenson. Her sister Mary Ann married his brother Constantine Stevenson.

If you are interested in viewing my information I am on user name Nanatwins1959 look under my "Mills Family" tree.

John Wesley Luffman - Hampton National Cemetery
FYI - I posted a photo of his tombstone in Hampton National Cemetery today if you are interested. The inscription is not very deep and the stone is somewhat hard to read.
