Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in South Bend IN and raised in Elkhart IN, and moved to southwestern Illinois, near St Louis MO, after a four-year tour with the US Air Force when I graduated from high school. I have always been fascinated by cemeteries ever since I was a young child, especially small family cemeteries. In the last 30-plus years, I have delved into my family genealogy on my father's (Bjornstad) and mother's (Denson) side. My paternal grandfather, Kristian Bjornstad, immigrated from Norway in the early 1900s, eventually settling in eastern North Dakota. His oldest brother had an interest in the Bjornstad genealogy and he compiled the family record into a book and had it published in Oslo Norway in 1943, which traces the family origins to the first king of Norway. I have used it as a reference when submitting memorials for my father's ancestors on Find A Grave. On my mother's side, a distant cousin, Dr. Marion E. Denson of Columbia TN (now deceased) published a genealogy book in 1997 on the Denson families in America, tracing them back to the mid-1600s, when a William Denson came from England and settled in southern Virginia, near the present-day city of Norfolk. This book has been a great source of reference for my Find A Grave memorials pertaining to my Denson ancestors. Additionally, I want to give special thanks to Ronald C. Denson of Birmingham AL (now deceased) who also compiled a genealogy of my Denson ancestors which was very helpful.

I also want to give special thanks to my wife, Angela Bjornstad, for her help in formatting the photos that I have posted to Find A Grave.

I am acceptable to transferring memorials on Find A Grave to anyone who requests them and who is a direct descendant of the person whose memorial I have posted, unless I am also a direct descendant. If I have incorrectly stated any information for any memorial that I manage, please use the Edit tab feature and I will gladly make the necessary correction(s). Also, I do not object if anyone posts pictures to any memorials that I created and still manage.

I do not have the ability to instantly make any changes or corrections to the Famous memorials that I have posted. Only the Find A Grave administrators can do that. If you should find an error on any Famous memorial that is credited to me, please contact and provide them with the required changes/corrections.

Thank you for finding/posting William's picture - he was my 3rd Great Grandfather. It's always wonderful to see what our ancestor's looked like and the clothes they wore.

RE: LTG Richard Seitz Photo Correct?

Thanks for doing the relook and making the change. This was a good image of a younger LTG Seitz as an LTC.
After I wrote you, I happened to have switched to Bing and did a search on" LTG Seitz". Within the photo away pulled up was the image of Colonel Robert Sink but misidentified as LTG Seitz.
Best wishes,
Thomas Finley

LTG Richard Seitz Photo Correct?
Could you please check the photo posted recently(Oct 2016) of LTG Richard Seitz? What was the source?
The officer in this photo just does not resemble the same LTG Seitz I personally met many times at 517th Association meetings over the years. Google the obituary of LTG Seitz and compare. The obit I just pulled up contained an official photo which I easily identify as the LTG Seitz I was familiar. If one compares just the hairlines of each man, it is easy to see they differ. Even in wartime photos as an LTC, Seitz looked pretty much the same even into the 2000's: always trim and fit.
I could be mistaken, but I don't think so.Would be glad to try to locate and copy a better photo for you. LTC Seitz was the real McCoy in real life and deserves to have an accurate likeness displayed.

Col Sydenham Moore
Hi William,

My condolences on the loss of your beloved pet. I was wondering if you could look at Sydenham Moore? I was doing duplicates and came upon two listings for him. One is a former burial location and the other was originally added by me. Both need a better bio. Thanks K.

Dora Keen Handy #138278513
I enjoy reading old newspapers (Library of Congress website) and trying to match the stories and articles to the memorials here on F-A-G. I found a charming story about Dora Handy in the Evening Public Ledger (Philadelphia, PA) for 10/19/1916 about her travels in Alaska and meeting her husband, George W. Handy. I have not been able to find a memorial for George.

I thought you might like to read the article.

Robert Gene Toth's 2nd Cousin
Hi Mr. Bjornstad,

My name is Jill and my Dad was Robert Gene Toth's 1st cousin. My Grandmother, Irene, was RGT's Father's sister. I think that is written correctly. :)

I'm not messaging to ask for you to transfer the memorial. I really just wanted to say "Hi."

I live very far away and it is difficult to understand much about relatives I never had a chance to meet(I was born 1970).

Thanks for adding the info, pics and the memorial.
