RE: John Joseph Bush
Hi! I just noticed this message. This man is my (step) Grandfather. He married my Grandmother (Betty Metcalf) in 1974 after his 1st wife died.

What would you like to know?

RE: John Wesley Short
Go to findagrave.com and search for Cox Cemetery in Jasper Co MO.
read the face page, that might help a little.
John Wesley's father is buried there.

Sara and William Allcorn
Sara and William are next to each other at Oakmont cemetery. According to the California Death Index they were both born in Missouri.

Try Again
It wrapped the web address poorly. Here it is again:

http://records.jacksongov.org/search.asp?cabinet=marriage

This should be all one line.

RE: Gus Arnold
Tammy,

I'm glad you enjoyed the article. The link to the Marriage Record is correct but it will not load the documen if you haven't been to the Jackson County, Missouri website recently (probably a cookie issue). It also failed for me, but once I loaded it directly from the site then I could use the link again on Find-A-Grave.

Here's the link again:
http://records.jacksongov.org/imgcache/marriage356748-1-2.pdf

I assume it still doesn't work, but you can go directly to their website at http://records.jacksongov.org/search.asp?cabinet=marriage and type "arnold, ella" into the Bride's Name box and click Search. It should be the top record listed. Click the Image icon on the far right and click Retrieve as PDF. If this doesn't work I can email it to you.

Sincerely,
Matt

RE: bradley family memorial park lawrence ks.
Hi Tammy,

Sorry, but I don't have any information on the Bradleys. I did a transfer of some paper-based cemetery records to Find A Grave a number of years ago, so that is the limit of my knowledge. Best of luck in your research!

RE: George J. Lucas and Christabell
Hi, Cressie mar Geo J Lucas on 23 Jun 1872 in Vernon Co MO. They had 6 children Geo, Fanny, Allen, Charles, Leslie Irvin & infant that died. I have Cristabel dying on 29 Jan 1906 Vernon Co MO. I was unable to locate any of the children except Leslie (Lottie) in the 1900 census. Leslie Irwin was b 7 Oct 1885 Nevada, Vernon Co MO died 19 Nov 1966 Vancouver, Clark Co WA. My line is from Geo J Lucas & first wife Sarah Frances (died Oct 1871 in childbirth). George & Sarah & their month old son are buried in Deepwood Cemetery Nevada, Vernon Co MO. Did not find burial place for Christabel. Hope this helps you.

RE: Edward M. Short
Hi Tammy. I entered all the information I found in the cemetery's records for Mr. Short. According to the burial permit, he died in Delta County, so you may be able to get a copy of his death certificate by contacting the County. His parents' names may be on the death certificate.
Their web site is www.deltacounty.com. You can download a copy of the death certificate application (use the County Clerk's link), or email or call the County Clerk.

Hope that helps!

Lynn

RE: Edward M. Short
I'm sorry, Tammy, but I don't have any more information on Edward M. Short for you. I have already put all the information from the cemetery records on his memorial. You might try the Delta County Historical Society to see if they have back issues of the local papers for an obituary. Their phone number at the museum is (970)874-8721. I'm not sure what days they are open or what their hours are. Good luck!
