I've been interested in family history for years. I appreciate additional information, and requests for edits. I want all information I enter to be as accurate as possible. I've realized that not only do I enjoy building my tree, as accurately as possible, but enjoy helping others "build" theirs. So to that end, I will be adding as much information in the future (or so I hope!) that I will be taking from it.|
Just a sidenote: Contributing to Find A Grave, is done voluntarily and free of charge. This is strictly a hobby that involves only as much time as I can afford to give it. It began only as a search for relatives I had never known. I've made no statements indicating that my information is without mistakes, so please feel free to contact me with requests for corrections, family links, updates or typos - if those are not made within a reasonable amount of time please leave me a message as I want the memorials to be as correct as possible. Also, PLEASE FEEL FREE to utilize any/all photos I've added to memorials -
no need to request "permission" ~
**NEWS UPDATE** As of Dec. 2013 - Every member's main page now has an "Edits" tab, which is at the top, to the left of "Contributor Tools". TRANSFERS: If I am listed as the person who is maintaining the memorial I would be happy to transfer it to a family member or

|SWL||RE: John Tyler|
There appear to be two John Tyler the right age to be Emma Colton's husband and father of Nettie Lottie, & Carl..
The John Tyler buried in Rapides (Find A Grave Memorial# 3213826is) listed as deceased on 25 Jun 1914 in Rapides and born @1844 according the LA State Archives index. On Familysearch.org the estimated birth year for this John Tyler is 1844.
I have in my notes that John H. Tyler died 29 Mar 1916 in Sabine Parish (Vol.8 #3858), b. 1848 in Sabine Pr., LA s/o Thomas Tyler & Tabiha Self. Emma died 13 Aug 1932 in Sabine Pr., LA (Vol. 27 #10397). The 1900 census has him born Mar 1848 which matches that death certificate. I had looked at those death certificates at the LA State Archives a number of years ago and probably have copies buried somewhere in my files. I assume they are buried in Sabine Pr., LA, probably Bayou Scie in Zwolle where their children are buried
John & Emma's children, Lottie & Carl, have been linked to John C. Tyler (Find A Grave Memorial# 77003371) buried in Bayou Scie, His death certificate index listing on Familysearch.org him born Z'lle, s/o Jim Tyler, death in Mansfield, DeSoto, LA. I am going to let the people who have those memorials know that he is not the correct parent on Lottie (Find A Grave Memorial# 77151572) & Carl (Find A Grave Memorial# 77151619).
If you are a descendant of Emma Colton & John Tyler, maybe you consider making memorials for them…do it as the non-burial or burial place unknown and order the death certificates to see if cemetery is given)..…then link Nettie and hope that the people with Lottie & Carl will link in too.

|Ann Walker||RE: George & Georgia Vines|
Your a sweetheart for transferring these memorials over to me. They will be well cared for and updated often! If there is anything I can do for you in return, please just let me know. What is the family name you have in Sardis and I'll keep an eye out for your family as well! Again, I greatly appreciate your kindness and willingness to transfer!
|Ann Walker||Swofford Brown|
Many thanks for the transfer of Swofford Brown! I will get him linked to the rest of his family by weeks end! Thanks again!
|Dan Vines||Fannie Brown|
Hi Becky, my member #47597811, Fannie Brown is my great grandmother on my fathers side, could you please note in her record that her maiden name was Cain. I would appreciate a transfer, but will leave that up to you.
|Joseph Colin Clark||George E. Kegley|
I am a maternal descendant of James Edley Kegley, brother of James Wesley Kegley, so I guess we're related! Noticed you have two memorials for George E. Kegley in Monmouth Cemetery.
Sincerely, Joseph C. Clark 47094715

Please transfer maintenance of Jackson Pierce Dubose; I V Anderson Dubose; Annie Bell Anderson Maxey; and Paul Maxey all buried in Noble Cemetery. These are parents and aunt/uncle of my wife.

Thanks for both the updates. It is appreciated. Pat
|Ken Wright||George Kegley|
Since my entry has a photo I can transfer this to you and you can add your additional information. If this doesn't work I can delete mine.
Just got home and seen your message. I will be happy to make the transfer.
