I am a teacher in San Diego who started my genealogical search in 2003, during our first set of firestorms when we couldn't go outside.
I think the links to family members on findagrave are an invaluable resource in our historical searches.

RE: Coulters of Missouri
Thanks for the reply!!!! I am having trouble finding information about my Mark Coulter. Family tradition says he is the son of Sterling, making him a brother to your George. I have also found information on the Sterling Coulter that was the son of John and Rachel Coulter, that would have been a nephew to "our" Sterling. The information between those two have gotten mixed up, but are easy to fix when you look at the dates. I have "our" Sterling's probate records but it does not name his heirs. There is no record of his will in Macon County. I should probably look for his wife's will as she died a few months after Sterling. Sterling's probate is huge! He owned the store and it has all the accounts owed and has a record of inventory - including a couple of slaves. My Mark is listed in these accounts. I'm wondering WHY my Mark left Macon County and came south to Taney County. He made the move right after the Civil War, so there may be a clue there. Mark disappears after the 1870 census in Taney County and I cannot find the graves of Mark or Nancy anywhere. My thought is their graves were lost when the lakes were created. My grandma told me about getting a letter from the Corps of Engineers about graves being moved and they needed family to be there or something like that. My email is You are a teacher? I teach high school history :)
Talk to you soon!

RE: Coulters of Missouri
I had seen the Mark Coulter that was the brother of Sterling I believe.
My Mark Coulter was born circa 1822 in Missouri. He was living in Macon County near the Lamb family, which I believe Sterling's daughter married into?
Mark moved to Taney County, Missouri between 1860-1870. I descend from Mark's son George Washington Coulter (born circa 1859). Mark named one of his sons Sterling as well. Family tradition says Sterling (1794-1856) was his father. I am open to suggestions! :)

Coulters of Missouri
I saw you had created a memorial on George Alford Coulter in Macon County, Missouri. I am researching this branch of my family. I descend from Mark Coulter who lived in Macon County. I believe my Mark is a brother to George Alford Coulter. Do you have any information that might help me?

Find a Grave Memorial #116100047. I was wondering if you are related to Maria DeLima? You took the photo of her grave and I wanted to thank you. She is my Great Grandmother on my Father's side.

John McNamara Calvary cemetery San Diego
Hi Bruce,

Could you please let me know when you took the pictures of the headstone for John McNamara? As per Pioneer park groundskeeper it was vandalized in February 2013.
I took photos on October 18th, 2014 and the white marble is damaged I'm afraid beyond repair. I haven't left a stone unturned calling all authorities and want to find a national cemetery willing to adopt this headstone. Park and Recreation's groundskeeper told police officer I had called to take a report, that the pressure cleaning is pending... What if it will happen again? I'm looking for volunteers to resolve this. Are you willing to help?

RE: Raymond Williamson - #88412840
Wow!! You've got more information than I do, so I can't be of help after all. Good luck in finding the connection. Wishing you a great day. :-)

Raymond Williamson - #88412840
Hi Bruce :-)

I saw your query about Mr. Williamson's mother's maiden name and wondered if you ever found out what it was? If you didn't, I have some information that may be of interest to you.

RE: Rasheed Floyd Martin
Thank you for updating his memorial. I also provided you the correct date of birth via the edit tab. Not sure if you recognized but you can find it on your profile page in "edits" next to "contributor tools/edit my profile".
